SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 10-1 all-time against Roger Williams in a series that dates back to 1990.
• The Beavers have won the last four meetings between the programs since 2015, which includes scoring three goals over the final 55 seconds to rally for a one-goal victory in the last matchup at MacDowell Field two years ago.
• The Hawks' lone win the in series came back in 2014 in Babson Park.

LAST MEETING
Samuel Mishkind '19 and junior Ethan Carpenter both scored three times as Babson defeated Roger Williams, 11-2, in the season opener for both teams on February 22, 2019, in Bristol, R.I.
Brendan Duffy '19 finished with two goals and one assist, junior John Antaya scooped up four ground balls and senior goaltender Christopher Aranalde made 10 saves for the Beavers.
• Junior Tim Mullane and Chris Bova both had a goal for the Hawks, who got 15 saves from Weston Nolan.

SCOUTING THE HAWKS
• Roger Williams (0-0) returns 31 players from a team that finished 12-7 overall and reached the CCC Tournament semifinals last season.
• Junior Jude Marzec (30-26-56), Mullane (32-23-55) and junior Jared Grier (39-11-50) are three of four players that finished with better than 50 points last spring for the Hakws, who averaged 11.00 goals.
• Senior Brian Brockwell scooped up 63 ground balls and caused a team-high 40 turnovers last spring, while junior Connor Hillemeir won 62.2 percent of his faceoffs and picked up 93 ground balls.
• Juniors Ryan Bannon and Henry Weld combined to play just over 42 minutes between the pipes in 2019, allowing eight goals on 16 shots.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (0-0) brings back 27 players from a team that finished 8-9 overall after suffering a one-goal loss in the NEWMAC Tournament quarterfinals.
• Despite the loss of their top scorer, the Beavers bring back six of their top eight point producers highlighted by the return of senior Owen Allen (30-14-44), Carpenter (15-12-27) and junior Mason O'Hanlon (15-8-23).
• Antaya (44 GB, 18 CT) and junior Jack Tague, who scooped up 43 ground balls and caused a team-high 25 turnovers, both return to anchor the defense after earning all-conference honors last spring, while sophomore Jack Gregory won 46.2 percent of his faceoffs as a rookie.
• A three-year starter for the Green and White, Aranalde posted a 9.66 goals against average and .531 save percentage while stopping a career-high 165 shots last spring.

TESTS ALONG THE WAY
• The Beavers have set up a challenging 2020 slate that includes a pair of teams that are currently ranked in the USILA Division III poll (No. 11 Union, No. 16 St. Lawrence) and five others that are receiving votes.
• Babson will face four NESCAC foes, four of the top five teams in last year's Liberty League standings, and two of the top three teams in the CCC.

MIDDLE MEN
• Coming off last year's fifth-place finish, the Green and White was tabbed to finish fourth when the NEWMAC released its annual coaches' poll last week.
• Defending tournament champion Springfield collected five first-place to finish atop the poll, while Coast Guard and MIT came in second and third, respectively.

CLOSE CALLS
• Of Babson's losses last season, five came by three goals or less and four of them were by a single tally.
• The Beavers' four losses in NEWMAC play came by a total of just six goals.

BEAVER BITES
• Seniors Luke Talman and Owen Peterson both finished with three caused turnovers in Babson's 2018 win over Roger Williams.
• Last year's 11-2 triumph over the Hawks helped now-second-year head coach Rocky Batty become the first coach since Bill Cole in 1995 to win his Babson debut.
• Allen enters his final season with the program ranked 19th on the Beavers' all-time scoring list with 73 goals and 34 assists for 107 points.

NUMBER TO KNOW
• The Beavers have won their season opener in three consecutive seasons going back to 2017.
