Box Score BALTIMORE, Md. -- The Babson College men's lacrosse team played at one of the great venues in all of lacrosse on Sunday, but the experience ended on a sour note with the Beavers falling to Colorado College, 7-2, in a contest played at legendary Homewood Field at Johns Hopkins University.
The Beavers (3-2) grabbed an early 1-0 lead when junior Alex Packer scored with 6:15 remaining in the opening quarter. Junior Brad Bero got one goal back when he tallied a man-up marker at 13:15, but Tigers goalie Chase Murphy made five of his 14 saves over the remainder of the contest to seal the eventual 7-2 win.
Senior James Whalen finished with two stops in net for the Beavers, who remain in Baltimore to take on Hamilton College on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
