NEWTON, Mass. - The Babson College men's lacrosse team moved into sole possession of second place in the Pilrgrim League on Wednesday, as the Beavers won a key game against Lasell College, 10-6. With the win, Babson improved to 6-8 overall and 5-1 in the conference, while the Lasers fell to 9-4 overall and 4-2 in the league.

Babson jumped out to a 3-0 lead midway through the first quarter, but Lasell battled back with two in the first and one in the second to tie the contest at 3-3 heading into the break. The Beavers then took the lead for good with four straight goals to start the third, including two by junior Matt Enright. The Lasers would get one back late in the quarter to cut its deficit to 7-4, but Enright sparked a 3-0 run with his fourth goal of the game early in the final quarter as Babson pulled away with the 10-6 win.

Enright's four goals led all scorers, while junior Ray Roy chipped in with two goals. Junior Matt Harrington, first-year Andrew Packer, first-year Mike Lydon, and junior co-captain Bryan Wilbur each contributed one goal and one assist, and senior co-captain Jason Wellemeyer added a pair of helpers. First-year Mike Saucier finished with nine saves in just over 54 minutes in net, whiel junior Max Owen stopped three shots in the final 5:40.
