SERIES HISTORY
• The Beavers have won all seven career meetings between the two programs, all of which have come since 2019.
• The two teams met in the first round of the 2019 NCAA Tournament, with Babson winning 2-0.
• The Green and White posted shutouts in the first three and six of the seven games against the Monks.

LAST MEETING
• Caroline DiGiovanni '26 scored a pair of goals and Alex Michelotti '26 and junior Charlotte Roe added a goal and an assist each as No. 3 Babson rolled past Saint Joseph's, 5-0, on September 10, 2025, at the SJC Athletics Complex.
• Senior Emma Smith chipped in with her first goal of the season and classmate Ashley Braren added an assist. Sophomore Madison Tibbals made three saves in goal for her first career shutout for the Beavers, who outshot the Monks 30-5.
• Junior Kimberley McLaughlin had a busy day in goal and made a then career-high 13 saves for the Monks.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 3 Babson (1-1) is looking to get back on track after suffering a 6-1 setback to No. 4 Christopher Newport on Saturday at MacDowell Field.
• First-year Kate Schneider provided the highlight for the Beavers with her first career goal and senior Grace Mullaney picked up an assist. Tibbals made five saves in goal to fend off the Captains, who outshot the hosts 22-7.
• Senior Helen DiGiovanni (2-0-2) leads the team in scoring after scoring twice in a 2-0 win over Endicott in the season opener. Junior Penny Baroni (11-7-29) is the top returning scorer from last season, along with Mullaney (4-8-16), who tied for third in the conference in assists. Senior Ashley Braren (5-1-11) was fourth on the team in goals last season.
• Smith, junior Lauren Golden and sophomore Anna Bonazzoli anchor a Babson defense that ranked 13th in Division III last fall in team goals against average (0.89). Tibbals made two saves in goal in the season-opening win over No. 10 Endicott.

SCOUTING THE MONKS
• Saint Joseph's (1-1) is looking to regroup after taking a 7-2 loss against Springfield in its home opener on Saturday in Standish.
• Sophomore Ava Markham tallied both goals for the Monks, the second one coming on a penalty stroke. McLaughlin put up six saves in the first three quarters before first-year Adrianna Pettengill came off the bench in her collegiate debut and made one save in the fourth frame.
• Markham (5-1-11) is off to a hot start for the Monks after scoring three goals and an assist in the season-opening victory over Plymouth State. Sophomore Myia SeeHusen (1-1-3) and first-years Dasia Alberico (1-0-2) and Chloe Masse (1-0-2) have also scored this season and junior Zoey Lailer (0-2-2) has a pair of assists.
• McLaughlin started 19 of the Monks' 20 games last season when they finished 11-8 overall. She finished with 114 saves and two shutouts in her first season as the starter between the pipes.

HOME SWEET HOME
• Babson had its 23-game home winning streak snapped on Saturday, which dated back to a 2-1 loss to No. 1 Middlebury on September 15, 2024.
• The Beavers have won 39 of 41 home games over the last four seasons and 63 of their last 69 outings since the start of the 2021 season.
• Nine of the last 10 home victories and 17 of the last 25 wins at home have come by way of the shutout.

BEAVER BITES
• Mullaney has at least one point in four of her last five games dating back to last season.
• DiGiovanni, who made her first two career starts this season, registered her first career multi-goal game in the win over Endicott.
• The Beavers have seven returning players who started at least 15 games last season.
• Schneider and fellow first-year Julia Krepelka have started their first two collegiate appearances, and sophomore Molly DiGiulio has come off the bench in the first two games after making six appearances for Providence last season.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Babson is 44-4 in weekday games since 2022, and 28-9 in the month of September.
• The Green and White are 29-4 in non-conference home games since 2021.
