SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 0-2-1 all-time against Union in a series that dates back to 2019.
• The Beavers dropped one-goal decisions in 2019 (1-0) and 2021 (2-1 OT) before battling to a 1-1 draw last season in Schenectady, N.Y.
• Saturday's game is just the second game against the Garnet Chargers in Babson Park since the first meeting in 2019.

LAST MEETING
• Visiting Babson got an early goal from junior Josie Lee to secure a 1-1 draw with Union in non-conference action on September 6, 2025 at College Park Field. 
• Sophomore Autumn Simon recorded her first collegiate point with an assist on Lee's tally, while senior goalkeeper Callahan Cottone stopped three shots for the Beavers, who had a 16-11 advantage in shots. 
• Senior Hannah Sams scored her first goal of the season for the Garnet Chargers, who got eight saves from classmate Maya Koster.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (0-1-0) suffered a 1-0 setback to New York University in the season debut on Tuesday afternoon at Hartwell-Rogers Field.
• Sophomore Maisie Creamer made six second-half stops in goal after Cottone made one first-half save in the setback for the Beavers, who were outshot 15-6. Josie Lee and junior Lillian McAughan each registered a pair of shots to lead the offense.
• Senior Caroline Sutherland, the reigning NEWMAC Defensive Player of the Year, and classmates Priscilla-Rose Men-Martin and classmate Jadyn Mapura all earned all-league honors, as well as Josie Lee and sophomore Izzy Lee, who was NEWMAC Rookie of the Year. Senior Claudia Baiter and sophomore Lindsey Cassady both started all 18 games along the back line.
• The Green and White returned 10 starters and 25 players in all from the 2025 squad that finished 8-5-5 overall. First-year head coach Kerry Baldwin placed six seniors, two juniors and three sophomores in the opening-day starting lineup on Tuesday.

SCOUTING THE GARNET CHARGERS
• Union (1-0-0) came away with a 1-0 victory over WPI in its season opener on Tuesday in Worcester, Mass.
• Senior Taylor Bovardi scored the lone goal of the afternoon in the 79th minute, with an assist from Sams. Koster made two saves to record the clean sheet for the Garnet Chargers, which registered a season-opening victory for the first time in four years, including back-to-back 1-0 losses to WPI in 2024 and 2025.
• Bovardi is a returning All-Liberty League selection after finishing third on the team in scoring with three goals and seven assists for 13 points. Juniors Gill Horvath and Addison McDonald and seniors Ashley Sheldon and Delaney McNinch are also key returning starters for the Garnet Chargers.
• Union finished 9-7-3 overall last season and 4-3-2 in the Liberty League before falling to RIT in the first round of the conference tournament.

GIVE ME LIBERTY
• Saturday's match marks the sixth time the Beavers have faced a Liberty League opponent going back to 2021. 
• In addition to last year's match-up against Union, Babson defeated St. Lawrence 1-0 and suffered a 1-0 loss to RIT in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament back in 2023, and was a 3-0 winner over Clarkson as well as the 2-1 2OT loss to Union in 2021. 

COMFORTS OF HOME
• The Green and White have gone six straight seasons with a winning home record, including 6-2-1 in 2024 and 4-3-3 last year.
• Babson is 31-15-8 at home going back to the start of the 2021 campaign.

POLL POSITION
• On the heels of its fifth consecutive top-four finish in the regular season league standings, Babson was picked to finish third when the NEWMAC released its preseason coaches' poll in late August. 
• The Beavers totaled 97 points to finish just ahead of fourth-place Emerson (94 points), while defending league champions MIT garnered 11 of 12 first place votes to finish well ahead of second-place Springfield (102 points). 

BEAVER BITES
• Mapura is the most experienced player on the team with 59 starts among her 61 games played, while Sutherland has started 44 of her 58 appearances.
• Baiter has been in the starting lineup in 41 of her 59 games, senior Olga Metelkine has 23 starting nods in 55 contests, and Men-Martin has been in the starting 11 on 32 occasions in 42 matches.
• First-years Mia Eglintine, Olivia Taylor and Emma Radley all made their collegiate debuts off the bench for the Beavers on Tuesday.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Babson went 4-0-1 last season and is 27-0-4 dating back to the start of the 2022 campaign when leading at halftime. 
• Going back to 2021, the Green and White is 39-3-2 when scoring at least two goals.
• Sixteen of Babson's 18 games last fall featured a total of three goals or fewer.
