•    The Beavers and Seahawks will meet for just the fifth time as conference foes on Thursday with three of the previous four matches having been decided by either a single goal or in a deadlock.
•    The Green and White is 1-0-1 in two trips to Newport, R.I., since 2023 although both games were played off campus at Toppa Field.

POSTSEASON HISTORY
•    First meeting

LAST MEETING
•    Junior Lillian McAughan finished with two goals and one assist and the Beavers scored four times in the span of 16 minutes late in the second half to pull away for a 4-2 win over Salve Regina on October 14 in Babson Park.
•    McAughan opened the scoring in the fifth minute and completed her brace in the 77th minute, junior Josie Lee notched the go-ahead goal in the 68th minute and senior Priscilla-Rose Men-Martin converted an 84th-minute penalty kick for Babson, which finished with a 22-8 edge in shots.
•    Allie Gallagher tied the game in the 66th minute and Carah Leclair added a 90th-minute tally for the Seahawks, who got 11 saves from Sabina Lawless.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    Sixth-seeded Babson (8-8-4) has won back-to-back games after rallying for a 3-2 overtime victory over third-seeded Wheaton on Tuesday afternoon.
•    McAughan scored in the 51st minute, Men-Martin buried a penalty kick with 1:56 to go in regulation and Lee scored the 94th-minute game winner for the Beavers, who trailed 2-0 less than 10 minutes into the match.
•    Men-Martin (8-4-20) ranks eighth in the NEWMAC in goals and ninth in points, McAughan (5-5-15) leads the team in assists and has three over the last two games, and sophomore Izzy Lee (5-1-11) is tied for the team lead with two game-winning goals.
•    Senior Callahan Cottone has started all 20 games and owns a 1.06 goals against average and a .800 save percentage to go along with four shutouts.

SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS
•    Second-seeded Salve Regina (11-3-5) is unbeaten over its last five matches after rallying for a pair of second-half goals in a 2-1 victory over seventh-seeded Clark in Tuesday's conference quarterfinals.
•    Tori Spadavecchia tied the game in the 49th minute and Allie Gallagher notched the go-ahead goal less than three minutes later for the Seahawks, who got six saves from Sabrina Lawless to win its first NEWMAC postseason match four years after joining the league.
•    Sienna Mastroianni (9-2-20) is tied for sixth in the conference in goals, Gallagher (7-5-19) has produced a point in six of the last eight games, Paige Jessuck (5-5-15) is tied for the team lead in assists and Leclair (6-1-13) leads the squad with three game-winning goals.
•    Lawless (10-2-4) has started 14 of 19 games and ranks second in the conference in both goals against average (0.80) and save percentage (.873) to go along with six shutouts this fall.

NEWMAC TOURNAMENT TRENDS
•    Babson has now advanced out of the conference quarterfinals 10 times in 14 tries (10-3-1) since 2012.
•    Five of the Beavers' last six conference tournament victories have come by a single goal with the lone exception being the 3-1 triumph over Wheaton in 2024.
•    Babson's last postseason shutout came in the 2021 quarterfinal round when it fell to WPI in penalties following a 0-0 draw over 110 minutes.
•    The Green and White has won three of its last four NEWMAC quarterfinal matches on the road since 2018.
•    The Beavers have won two straight overtime games in the conference playoffs, and have gone to penalty kicks just twice in their last 19 NEWMAC Tournament matches dating back to 2015.
•    Babson is 2-6-2 in the conference semifinal round since 2010 and advanced to the NEWMAC final with an overtime win over Emerson in 2023, a 2-0 triumph over Wheaton in 2015 and on penalty kicks following a 0-0 draw with MIT in 2010.
•    McAughan and Josie Lee have both scored two postseason goals, Men-Martin notched the first postseason marker of her career with Tuesday's late penalty kick, and seniors Claudia Baiter, Janiya Ocampo and Caroline Sutherland all have one career assist in the conference playoffs.

DOUBLING UP
•    Men-Martin is the first Babson player to produce three multi-goal games since Jessica Fernandes '19 achieved the feat back in 2018, and is the first to reach 20 points since Jordyn Ferrantino '25 in 2023.
•    She scored her first two goals of the season in a 3-0 win over Springfield in the NEWMAC opener on September 19, produced a career-high five points with two goals and one assist in a 7-0 rout of Framingham State on September 30 and then recorded a first-half brace in the Beavers' October 10 victory over Mount Holyoke.

BEAVER BITES
•    Izzy Lee's goal just 19 seconds into the second half on Saturday at Emerson was the fourth game-winning marker of her career.
•    Baiter, Cottone and Izzy Lee are the only three Babson players to start all 20 matches this season, and Baiter has been part of the starting XI in 43 straight matches dating back to 2024.
•    McAughan registered the first two-assist game of her career in Saturday's win at Emerson, while junior Rylie Wesley collected her first assist of the season.

HISTORY LESSON
•    Tuesday's victory at Wheaton marked the first time since August 30, 2013, versus St. John Fisher that Babson overcame a two-goal deficit to win. The Beavers did pull out of a 2-0 hole thanks to goals by Josie Lee and senior Ally Clarkson to salvage a 2-2 draw against Hamilton on September 21, 2025.
•    Entering Tuesday's quarterfinal, the Beavers were 0-7 when trailing at halftime and 0-8-1 when conceding the first goal this fall.
•    Dating back to 2012, the Green and White is now 69-4-4 when scoring at least two goals against a NEWMAC foe, which includes a 5-0 mark in the conference playoffs.

WHEN 90 MINUTES ISN'T ENOUGH
•    No overtime was played during regular season contests for the fourth consecutive season, but all postseason matches will feature two 10-minute sudden-death overtime periods if a game is deadlocked at the end of regulation.
•    If the game remains tied after both overtime sessions, a winner will be decided by penalty kicks.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    The Beavers are 6-0-1 when taking a lead into halftime this fall.
•    Babson is 7-0-2 on the year when scoring first but just 1-8-1 when conceding the first goal this season.
•    The Green and White is 7-0 this season and unbeaten in its last its last 16 matches (15-0-1) going back to 2024 when scoring at least two goals.
•    The Beavers are 6-2-4 on the year when conceding one or zero goals.
•    Excluding its four draws, six of Babson's other seven NEWMAC regular season games were decided by at least two goals with the lone exception being its 2-1 loss to Wheaton 11 days ago.
•    The Green and White has outscored its opponents 19-12 in the second half this season.

UP NEXT
•    The winner of Thursday's semifinal will face either top-seeded and fifth-ranked MIT or fourth-seeded WPI in Saturday's NEWMAC Tournament final.
