POSTSEASON HISTORY
•    Babson and Wheaton are set to play in the NEWMAC quarterfinals for the third consecutive season on Tuesday.
•    The Beavers were 3-1 winners on Hartwell-Rogers Field in 2024 before the Lyons returned the favor with a victory last November in Babson Park.
•    The Green and White is 2-4 in the quarterfinal round and 3-7-2 all-time versus Wheaton in the conference playoffs.
•    Babson is winless in five conference tournament games on the road against Wheaton (0-4-1), although Tuesday's contest marks their first trip to Mirrione Stadium in the postseason since 2009.

LAST MEETING
•    Camila Leiva provided a goal and an assist to help Wheaton defeat the Beavers, 2-1, on October 24 in Babson Park.
•    Mackenna Reynolds scored her first goal of the year in the 31st minute, Leiva made it 2-0 in the 58th minute and Olivia King recorded four of her six saves in the second half for the Lyons, who were outshot 14-13 in the victory.
•    Junior Mack Feeney notched her first goal of the season in the 74th minute off an assist from classmate Josie Lee for Babson, which got two first-half saves from senior goalkeeper Callahan Cottone and one over the final 45 minutes from sophomore Maisie Creamer.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    Sixth-seeded Babson (7-8-4) snapped a four-match winless skid and clinched its 39th consecutive conference tournament berth with a 2-0 win at Emerson on Saturday.
•    Sophomore Izzy Lee scored 19 seconds into the second half and classmate Sarah Hogan added her second goal of the year in the 51st minute for the Beavers, who got six first-half saves from Cottone to keep the game scoreless.
•    Senior Priscilla-Rose Men-Martin (7-2-16) has three multi-goal games this fall, junior Lillian McAughan (4-4-12) leads the team in assists and Izzy Lee (5-1-11) has scored a pair of game-winning markers on the year.
•    Cottone (7-6-3) has started all 19 games and owns a 1.00 goals against average and a .806 save percentage to go along with four shutouts.

SCOUTING THE LYONS

•    Karina Contreras scored 58 seconds into the second half and King made four of her six saves over the opening 45 minutes for the Lyons, who earned their first top-four seed in the conference tournament since finishing second in 2017.
•    Leiva (15-6-36) ranks first in the NEWMAC in goals and points and scored nine goals versus league foes, Contreras (8-2-18) has three game-winning goals and has scored in back-to-back matches, and Kaydie O'Neil (2-3-7) and Maya Thomas (2-3-7) are tied for second on the team in assists.
•    King (10-4-3) has started 16 of 17 games and owns a 1.05 goals against average and a .825 save percentage to go along with six shutouts.

NEWMAC TOURNAMENT TRENDS
•    Babson has advanced out of the conference quarterfinals nine times in 13 tries (9-3-1) since 2012.
•    Four of the Beavers' last five conference tournament victories have come by a single goal with the lone exception being the 3-1 triumph over Wheaton in 2024.
•    Babson's last postseason shutout came in the 2021 quarterfinal round when it fell to WPI in penalties following a 0-0 draw over 110 minutes.
•    The Green and White has won two of its last three last NEWMAC quarterfinal matches on the road, defeating Coast Guard 2-1 as the seventh seed in 2019 and Wellesley 1-0 as the fifth seed in 2013, while losing 1-0 at Emerson as the sixth seed in 2018.
•    The Beavers' last NEWMAC Tournament game to go to overtime was a 2-1 semifinal triumph over Emerson in 2023, and they have gone to penalty kicks just twice in 18 postseason matches dating back to 2015.
•    McAughan and Josie Lee have both scored one postseason goal, while seniors Claudia Baiter, Janiya Ocampo and Caroline Sutherland all have one career assist in the conference playoffs.

DOUBLING UP
•    Men-Martin is the first Babson player to produce three multi-goal games since Jessica Fernandes '19 achieved the feat back in 2018.
•    She scored her first two goals of the season in a 3-0 win over Springfield in the NEWMAC opener on September 19, produced a career-high five points with two goals and one assist in a 7-0 rout of Framingham State on September 30 and then recorded a first-half brace in the Beavers' October 10 victory over Mount Holyoke.

BEAVER BITES
•    Izzy Lee's goal just 19 seconds into the second half on Saturday at Emerson was the fourth game-winning marker of her career.
•    Baiter, Cottone and Izzy Lee are the only three Babson players to start all 19 matches this season, and Baiter has been part of the starting XI in 42 straight matches dating back to 2024.
•    McAughan registered the first two-assist game of her career in Saturday's win at Emerson, while junior Rylie Wesley collected her first assist of the season.

WHEN 90 MINUTES ISN'T ENOUGH
•    No overtime was played during regular season contests for the fourth consecutive season, but all postseason matches will feature two 10-minute sudden-death overtime periods if a game is deadlocked at the end of regulation.
•    If the game remains tied after both overtime sessions, a winner will be decided by penalty kicks.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    The Beavers are 6-0-1 when taking a lead into halftime this fall.
•    Babson is 7-0-2 on the year when scoring first but 0-8-1 when conceding the first goal this season.
•    The Green and White is 6-0 this season and unbeaten in its last its last 15 matches (14-0-1) going back to 2024 when scoring at least two goals.
•    The Beavers are 6-2-4 on the year when conceding one or zero goals.
•    Excluding its four draws, six of Babson's other seven NEWMAC games were decided by at least two goals with the lone exception being its 2-1 loss to Wheaton 11 days ago.

UP NEXT
•    The winner of Tuesday's quarterfinal will face either second-seeded Salve Regina or seventh-seeded Clark on Thursday afternoon.
