WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass.—Junior
Camila Amaya (Singer Island, Fla.) posted the team's low round of the day with a 5-over 76 and 21st-ranked Babson College is tied for fourth at the midway point of the Williams Invitational at Taconic Golf Club.
The Beavers concluded the day with a score of 29-over 313 and are tied with No. 14 Wellesley and Trinity. No. 5 Middlebury (297) owns a seven-stroke lead over No. 8 Williams with seventh-ranked Amherst another shot back in third place. The trio of teams in fourth place and 10th-place Bates are separated by just five strokes entering Sunday's final round.
Amaya, who is five shots behind individual leader Rebecca Kriegsman of Bates, made three birdies over her first seven holes and was even through 11 before giving five shots back to par late in the round to finish in a tie for 14th position. Sophomore
Katie Yang (Orlando, Fla.) is tied for 21st place at 6-over after carding a 77 that included one birdie, while first-year
Anita Wang (Phoenix, Ariz.) shot a 79 and is tied for 25th at 8-over.

Francesca Choquette (New York, N.Y.) made one birdie in her round of 81 and is tied for 39th position at 10-over. Sophomore
Vanya Bansal (Noida, India) struggled late in her round and is tied for 50th overall after posting a 14-over 85.
Final round play at Taconic Golf Club is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
TOURNAMENT NOTES
• Babson's score of 313 is its third lowest in nine rounds all-time at Taconic behind the 2024 first round (305) and last year's first round total of 311.
• The Beavers tied for second in the 15-team field in par-3 scoring (8-over) on Saturday.
• Wang and Bansal were two of five players to finish even-par or better on the par 3s in the opening round, while Yang tied for fourth in par-4 scoring at 1-over.
• The average score for the 74-player field on Saturday was 82.01.
