WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.—Babson College sophomore Vanya Bansal (Noida, India) was chosen as the Colonial Women's Golf Conference (CWGC) Golfer of the Week on Monday.

Bansal followed up an opening round 78 with a career-best 2-under 70 to finish fourth overall with a 36-hole total of 4-over 146 at the Hamilton Invitational. The reigning CWGC Player of the Year matched her own program record for the lowest score in relation to par and became just the third player in school history to shoot a 70 thanks to three birdies in her final four holes as the Beavers tied for third place.

Bansal tied for first in the field in par-4 scoring at even-par and was one of just two players to avoid a double-bogey over 36 holes. Her previous round of 2-under came in the first round of the Polar Bear Shootout in 2025.

Through seven rounds this fall, Bansal ranks third on the team with a 78.14 stroke average.

Babson concludes the fall portion of its schedule on October 26-27 when it travels to the CWGC Championship at Running Deer Golf Club in Pittsgrove, N.J.
