SERIES HISTORY
•    Babson is 9-19-6 all-time against Springfield in a series that dates back to 1998.
•    The Beavers, who defeated the Pride 3-2 at Hartwell-Rogers Field in 2024, enter Saturday's match having won back-to-back games for the first time in series history and are unbeaten in three straight matches between the teams since 2023.
•    The Green and White has earned at least a point in four of its last five outings going 2-1-2 versus Springfield since 2021. 
•    Ten of the last 12 matches between the sides have been decided by a single goal or ended in a draw. 

LAST MEETING
•    Sophomore Izzy Lee scored her first collegiate goal off a corner kick in the 52nd minute as Babson defeated the Pride, 1-0, on September 20, 2025, in Springfield, Mass. 
•    Junior Josie Lee and Meredith Greeley '26 both registered an assist and senior goalkeeper Callahan Cottone turned away four first-half shots for the Beavers, who outshot the hosts 23-7. 
•    Mallory Forgatch finished with nine saves for Springfield, which was outshot 13-0 by the Green and White over the final 45 minutes of the match. 

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    Babson (1-4) has dropped three straight games after suffering a 3-0 defeat at Hamilton on Sunday. 
•    Cottone made three saves in the first half, sophomore Maisie Creamer stopped two shots in the second half and Izzy Lee saw her header bounce off and over the crossbar following a corner kick in the 36th minute for the Beavers, who conceded a pair of goals off set pieces in the final eight minutes of the match. 
•    First-year Emma Radley notched her first collegiate goal off an assist from junior Mack Feeney in the 1-0 win over Union on September 5 and the Green and White scored off sophomore Lindsey Cassady's corner kick in last Saturday's 2-1 loss to then-No. 2 Emory. 
•    Cottone (1-3) owns a 1.60 goals against average and a .692 save percentage in five starts, while Creamer (0-1) has played the second half in all five contests, posting a 1.60 goals against average and a .778 save percentage. 

SCOUTING THE PRIDE
•    Springfield (1-3) has dropped three straight games after suffering a 4-0 loss at Amherst on Wednesday night. 
•    Forgatch made three saves over the first 67 minutes and Micaela Tracey stopped four shots over the final 10 minutes of the match for the Pride, which has been outscored 11-3 during its three-game losing streak. 
•    Katie McFerran (2-1-5) leads the team in scoring, Peyton Knott, Emilee Surber and Adyson Wiseman have scored once on the year, and Olivia Beach leads the squad with two assists. 
•    Forgatch (1-2) has started all four games and owns a 2.55 goals against average and a .696 save percentage, while Mairead Marsden (0-1) has made five saves and conceded three goals in 90 minutes of action off the bench this fall. 

POLL POSITION
•    On the heels of its fifth consecutive top-four finish in the regular season league standings, Babson was picked to finish third when the NEWMAC released its preseason coaches' poll in late August. 
•    The Beavers totaled 97 points to finish just ahead of fourth-place Emerson (94 points), while defending league champions MIT garnered 11 of 12 first place votes to finish well ahead of second-place Springfield (102 points). 
•    Babson, Springfield and Emerson all won at least seven conference games last fall and were separated by just two points in the final regular season standings. 

NEWMAC KNOWLEDGE
•    The Beavers are 3-0-1 over their last four NEWMAC openers going back to 2022 and their last regulation loss to begin conference play was a 1-0 defeat against Clark back in 2018. 
•    Going back to 2012, Babson is 64-4-4 when scoring two goals or more versus NEWMAC foes. 
•    Outside of a 3-0 win over Wellesley and a 3-0 loss to MIT, the Beavers' other nine NEWMAC regular season games last season were decided by a single goal or finished in a draw. 
•    Josie Lee (4-3-11), senior Caroline Sutherland (3-0-6) and Izzy Lee (2-0-4 combined for nine of the team's 13 goals in league play last fall.

BEAVER BITES
•    Radley and fellow first-years Jaxie Hrkach and Mia Eglintine were all part of the starting XI for the first time in their respective careers in last Saturday's 2-1 loss to then-No. 2 Emory, while Feeney (Emory) and sophomore Sarah Hogan (Hamilton) both made their first starts of the season last weekend. 
•    Senior Claudia Baiter, who is the only Babson player to feature for all 90 minutes in every game this season, joins Cottone and Izzy Lee as the only players to start all five matches. 

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    The Beavers are 14-1-3 over the last three seasons when scoring the first goal of the game. 
•    Going back to the start of last year, Babson is 9-3-4 when conceding one goal or fewer.
•    The Green and White is unbeaten in 32 straight games (28-0-4) when taking a lead into the halftime break. 
•    The Beavers are 13-5-2 at home against NEWMAC opponents dating back to 2023.
