BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College Director of Athletics Performance and Athletics Health Care Administrator
Chris Ikier announced the hiring of
Rachel Greenberg and
Eleanor Hudson as assistant athletic trainers on Thursday.
Greenberg comes to Babson after spending the last two years as an assistant athletic trainer at Brandeis University. She created and implemented rehabilitative therapy programs for student-athletes and worked closely with the women's soccer, men's and women's fencing, men's and women's swimming & diving and baseball programs.
Greenberg got her start in the athletic training field as a student intern at the University of Rhode Island in 2018 and has also spent time as a student trainer at Manchester (Conn.) High School, the University of Connecticut, Trinity College and Eastern Connecticut State University, where she worked with the Warriors' baseball program.
"I'm excited to be working in Babson athletics because of the student-athletes, coaches and staff who are driven to foster a championship environment across all sports," commented Greenberg.
A 2022 graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a degree in kinesiology, Greenberg earned her master's degree in athletic training from the University of Connecticut in 2024.
Hudson comes to Babson after working with Towson Sports Medicine as the head athletic trainer for the club sports program at Loyola University in Baltimore, Md., since January 2023. She oversaw 24 programs and was responsible for all injury evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play decisions while supporting injury recovery and collaborating on injury management.
In addition to working with the club sports program at Loyola, Hudson served as a clinical preceptor mentoring athletic training students at Towson Sports Medicine since September 2023. She also was an athletic trainer for the Pipeline Soccer Club in the fall of 2022 and has experience as a strength and conditioning intern at Phillips Exeter Academy and Athletic Evolution in Woburn, Mass.
"I'm beyond excited to be joining the Babson Athletics team," said Hudson. "I can't wait to become a part of such a passionate athletics community while supporting the student-athletes on and off the field. My goal is to create a safe and fun environment where they can perform their best while being confident in their care."
Hudson received her degree in athletic training from Plymouth State in 2020, where she was a four-year member of the women's ice hockey program. She also earned her master's degree in exercise and sport science with a concentration in strength and conditioning from Merrimack College in 2021.
