BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College Pamela P. and Brian M. Barefoot Associate Vice President for Athletics and Athletics Advancement
Mike Lynch announced the hiring of
Gianna Hagopian as the department's new athletics administrator on Thursday morning.
A 2025 graduate of the University of Oregon with a bachelor's degree in advertising, Hagopian comes to Babson after earning her master's degree from Oregon's Lundquist College of Business in June. She was heavily involved in athletics during her time in Eugene, most recently serving as a creative intern for the Ducks' softball program. In that role, Hagopian oversaw softball media operations, including photography, videography and game-day content, while managing a six-person creative team.
Last spring, Hagopian worked as a videographer for Ascend Magazine, published by Oregon's School of Journalism and Communication. She also spent 10 months as an operations and creative intern for the Oregon Hockey Club, where she executed game-day operations and served as the team's primary media representative.
"We are excited to welcome Gianna to Babson," said Lynch. "Her combination of administrative experience, strong interpersonal skills and passion for athletics are a great fit for this role as she supports the daily operations that are critical to the success of our coaches, staff and student-athletes. We look forward to the positive impact Gianna will have on the Babson community."
In addition to her work as a graduate student, Hagopian was a five-year member and president of the Oregon Weightlifting Club. During her tenure, she helped raise more than $50,000 and tripled the team's number of competitive members over a three-year span. She also worked as an operations manager at the University of Oregon Recreation Center from 2023-25.
"I am very excited to be joining the team and continuing to pursue my passion for collegiate athletics," stated Hagopian. "My experiences as a club sport athlete and working behind the scenes in athletics have shown me how meaningful sports can be in shaping the college experience. I'm excited to bring that perspective to Babson, support the department's student-athletes and staff, and contribute to a community that makes athletics such a positive part of the student experience! "
Following the completion of her master's degree in June, Hagopian relocated to the Boston area and most recently worked as a social media manager for Make You Known Marketing.
