WHAT TO KNOW
• Coming off a year that included a fifth straight NEWMAC Championship and advancing to the NCAA Tournament semifinals for the second time in three seasons and third time since 2016, the third-ranked Beavers open the 2026 campaign Tuesday evening at 10th-ranked Endicott in Beverly, Mass.
• The Green and White have amassed a 103-14 record over the past five seasons and will be looking for more success with seven starters returning, including two All-Region selections and three NEWMAC post-season honorees.

SERIES HISTORY
• Babson holds a 14-4 advantage over Endicott in the all-time series that dates back to 1984.
• The Beavers have captured five in a row and six of the last seven contests over the Gulls, including a 4-3 verdict in the season opener last year at North Field.
• The Green and White are 5-1 all-time against the Gulls in games played in Beverly, with wins in 2021, 2023 and 2025 since the only setback, 2-0, back in 2017.

LAST MEETING
• Junior Penny Baroni registered her first career hat trick as No. 7 Babson defeated Endicott, 4-3, in the season opener for both programs on August 29, 2025 at North Field.
• Senior Caroline DiGiovanni '26 also scored for the Beavers, and Josie Ashton '26 earned the victory in goal with one save in her first career start.
• Tori Swanson '26, Maddy Dengler '26 and Abby Antonelli '26 scored goals for the Gulls, and Lily Farnham '26 and Reagan Hicks '26 recorded assists. Junior Faith Minickene made six saves in goal in the setback.

A LOOK BACK
• Babson registered another terrific campaign in 2025, finishing 22-2 overall, including an 18-game winning streak, and unbeaten (9-0) in NEWMAC regular season play for the ninth consecutive season to capture the program's 10th straight regular season title.
• The Beavers posted NEWMAC playoff victories over Springfield (2-0) and No. 24 MIT (1-0) to capture the program's fifth straight and seventh overall conference championship, earning a 10th appearance in the NCAA Tournament, the eighth in the last nine seasons.
• The third-ranked Green and White defeated No. 16 Bowdoin (2-1) and No. 7 Wesleyan (1-0) in NCAA Tournament games at MacDowell Field before a dramatic 2-1 double-overtime loss to second-ranked Johns Hopkins (2-1) in the semifinals in Hartford, Conn.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 3 Babson (0-0) returns 18 veterans from last year's squad, which outscored its opponents 66-22 while recording 11 shutouts.
• Baroni (11-7-29), a second team All-American and first team All-Region and All-NEWMAC, finished second on the team in scoring last fall and ranked in the top 10 in the NEWMAC in goals (7th), assists (6th) and points (8th). Senior Grace Mullaney (4-8-16) tied for third in the conference in assists and classmate Ashley Braren (5-1-11) was fourth on the team in goals while junior Taylor Shoflick earned second team All-NEWMAC recognition as a defensive midfielder.
• Sophomore Anna Bonazzoli returns after starting all 24 games at center back, earning first-team All-Region and All-NEWMAC honors. Bonazzoli, senior Emma Smith and junior Lauren Golden backboned a defense that ranked 13th in Division III in team goals against average (0.89). Sophomore Madison Tibbals had an outstanding rookie campaign in goal, posting a 21-2 record with nine shutouts and a 0.84 goals against average.
• The Green and White are one of just two programs, along with Johns Hopkins, to win at least 19 games each of the last six seasons (2019-25).

SCOUTING THE GULLS
• No. 10 Endicott (0-0) is coming off a superb 2025 campaign, capturing the Conference of New England (CNE) regular season and tournament championships. The Gulls finished 21-2 overall after winning 21 straight games between its season-opening setback to Babson and a 3-2 double-overtime loss to No. 9 Middlebury in the NCAA Tournament second round.
• While losing seven starters and the top three scorers to graduation, the Gulls have a pair of returning All-Americans in junior defender Riley Perkins (12-7-31) and junior goalie Faith Minickene (20-2, 0.76 GAA, 6 SO). Perkins was the CNE Defensive Player of the Year and first team All-Region while Minickene was CNE Goalkeeper of the Year and first-team All-Region.
• Other returning starters include senior midfielder Kate Harris, who was first team All-Conference, and first-year defender Adie Bolduc. The top returning forward is junior Sabrina Brunet (9-1-19).
• The Gulls have won five CNE championships in the last seven seasons (2018, 2019, 2021, 2023, 2025).

LEADER ON THE SIDELINE
• Babson is led by 20th-year head coach Julie Ryan, who has achieved a 290-100 record (.744), including a 127-20 mark against NEWMAC opponents. An 11-time Coach of the Year, she has led the program to seven conference tournament championships and nine NCAA Tournament berths.
• Ryan ranks 12th in career wins and ninth in career winning percentage and among active Division III coaches with at least 10 years, and 16th in Division III history in career winning percentage.

NFHCA WATCHLIST
• Three Beavers were among the 204 student-athletes who were named to the 2026 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Watchlist.
• Baroni was selected to the Watchlist for the second year in a row while Bonazzoli and Tibbals were recognized for the first time.

SEASON OPENERS
• Babson has won five straight and 16 of its last 17 season openers dating back to 2008, including victories over Endicott the past two years (4-2 in 2024, 4-3 in 2025).
• The Beavers had an 11-game winning streak in season debuts snapped in 2019 with a 3-1 loss to Endicott.

ON THE ROAD
• Babson finished 8-1 in road games last season and has won 24 of 28 games on the opponents' home field (not counting neutral site matchups) over the last three years.
• The Green and White are 39-6 in road contests since 2021.
• The Beavers outscored their opponents 31-15 in nine road games last season with two shutout victories.

CHALLENGING SLATE
• Tuesday's match-up is the first of seven Babson games this season vs. teams ranked in the NFHCA Division III Coaches Poll.
• The Beavers will also face No. 4 Christopher Newport, No. 11 Williams, No. 7 Middlebury, No. 1 Tufts, No. 24 WPI and No. 15 Bowdoin.

• The Beavers were picked to defend their New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) championship when the preseason coaches' poll was released last week.
• Babson, which has won 77 straight regular season conference games, received nine out of 10 first-place votes.

NFHCA DIVISION III POLL
• Babson has been ranked in the Division III top 10 in 48 consecutive polls dating back to October 5, 2021.
• The Beavers have appeared in 102 polls in a row dating back to September 21, 2015.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers were 16-0 last year and are 91-2 over the past five seasons when scoring the first goal of the game.
• Babson has won its last 84 games since 2021 when leading at halftime.
