Cross Country Releases 2026 Schedule

BABSON PARK, Mass.—Coming off solid finishes at the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships as well as the NCAA East Regionals last fall, veteran Babson College head men's and women's cross country coach Russ Brennen officially announced his program's 2026 meet schedule on Thursday.

The Beavers will compete in four regular season races prior to the conference championships on the first Saturday in November followed by the regionals two weeks later.

The Green and White open the campaign at the Suffolk Short Course Classic held at Highland Park in Attleboro, Massachusetts, on September 5. The Beaver squads will next compete in the Smith Invitational in Northampton, Mass., on September 19, getting a glimpse of the course that will host the NEWMAC meet later in the season.

The Babson runners will head to Greenwich, New York for the RPI Fairgrounds Showdown at the Washington County Fairgrounds on September 26. The regular season winds up at the Connecticut College Invitational on October 17 at Harkness Park in Waterford, Conn.

Following a week off, the Beavers return to Northampton, Mass., as Smith hosts the NEWMAC Championships on October 31. That will be followed by the NCAA East Regionals on November 14 at the Wainwright Sportsplex in South Portland, Maine.

All runners will be striving to earn a berth into the NCAA Division III Championships, which will be held on November 21 at the Bill Huyck Championship Course in Northfield, Minnesota, hosted by Carleton College.

The Babson men's squad came in third at the NEWMAC Championship with the second lowest point total in program history and matched the best finish in school annals by placing sixth at the NCAA East Regionals. The women's team finished seventh at the NEWMAC's and 17th at the NCAA East Regionals with its second lowest point total in program history.
