HOPKINTON, N.H.— The Babson College women's cross country team had three runners register career-best times as the Beavers finished 17th out of 30 schools at the NCAA East Region Championships on Saturday morning at the Hopkinton Fair Grounds.
The Beavers came in 17th with 453 points, their second lowest point total in program history, behind only the 444 from last year. No. 17 Tufts topped the team standings with 51 points to secure an automatic bid to next Saturday's Division III Championship meet while No. 3 MIT finished runner-up with 61 points. Brandeis (116), Suffolk (153) and Bowdoin (158) rounded out the top five.
Sophomore
Sophia Draxler (Montclair, N.J.) was the top Beaver finisher, placing 59th out of 214 runners in a career-best time of 23 minutes, 33 seconds for the 6K race. Senior
Chloe Clifford (Marshfield, Mass.) posted a career-best time of 24:06 to place 75th, and first-year
Ali Meyers (Darien, Conn.) finished in a PR time of 24:33 to place 93rd.

Alexandra Kirkpatrick (Middleboro, Mass.) and first-year
Sophia Nakakura (San Francisco, Calif.) were also scorers for the Beavers, Kirkpatrick finishing 121st and Nakakura coming in 124th, both in a time of 25:17. Junior Taijah (Concord, Mass.) was right behind in 124th place in a time of 25:18, and sophomore
Annabelle Svenson (Montclair, N.J.) finished in 154th in 26:13.
