No. 22 Women's Golf at the Hartford Invitational

WHAT TO KNOW
• The 22nd-ranked Babson women's golf team will play its only one-day event of the season on Saturday when it travels to Blackledge Country Club.
• The teams are set to compete on the Gilead Highlands Course, a 5,714-yard, par 72 layout.
ABOUT THE BEAVERS
• No. 22 Babson is coming off an 11th-place finish among 24 teams at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational back on March 22.
• Junior
Laura Lu shot 78-76-77 to tie for 20th place with a 54-hole score of 15-over 231 and first-year
Katie Yang posted rounds of 78-79-80 to grab a share of 41st position at 21-over 237 for the Beavers, who finished one stroke outside the top 10 with a three-day score of 948.
• First-year
Vanya Bansal, who tied for 49th at 23-over in Jekyll Island, is first on the team with a 77.27 stroke average, while Yang is second on the squad at 78.67.
• Sophomore
Hannah McCarthy (79.00) owns three top-35 results in four stroke-play events, classmate
Alice Zhu (79.00) has placed among the top 30 twice and fellow sophomore
Camila Amaya owns a 80.29 season average over seven rounds.
• The Green and White boasts a 313.0 team scoring average in 11 rounds this season.
ABOUT THE FIELD
• The Beavers will be joined at Blackledge CC by No. 12 Wellesley, No. 13 Middlebury, Wesleyan, Trinity and tournament host Hartford.
• Wellesley placed 13th at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational two weekends ago, while the other four squads will all compete in their first tournament of the spring on Saturday.
BABSON IN THE SCOREBOARD RANKINGS
• The Beavers are currently ranked 22nd nationally and ninth in the East Region as of April 1 with a 305.6 adjusted scoring average.
• Yang is currently ranked 79th among Division III three players, which is three spots ahead of Bansal (82nd), and both are ranked among the top 30 in the East Region.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers have posted a team score of 311 or better in five of 11 rounds this season.
• Lu tied for second in par 3 scoring at even and made 35 pars over 54 holes, which was good for fourth at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational.
• Bansal and McCarthy have both shot 74 or better three times this season while Yang posted a season-best score of 74 in the first round of the Williams Invitational back on September 27.
