Katie Yang (Orlando, Fla.) posted her low round of the spring with a 3-over 75 as the 22nd-ranked Babson College women's golf team concluded its 2025-26 campaign with a seventh-place finish in the Northeast Invitational at The Ranch Golf Club on Sunday afternoon.
The Beavers posted a team score of 335 in the final round to finish the 36-hole tournament at 79-over 655. No. 13 Middlebury (598) recorded a 10-stroke victory over No. 18 Bowdoin (608), while No. 5 Amherst (609), No. 4 Williams (614) and No. 15 Wellesley (615) rounded out the top five.
Yang made her only birdie of the day at the par-3 12th hole and played the final seven holes of the day at even-par to move up 13 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 13th place with first-year teammate
Vanya Bansal (Noida, India) with a 36-hole score of 9-over 153. Bansal, who fired a 2-over 74 in the first round, finished with 11 pars and seven bogeys on the way to carding a 7-over 79 on Sunday.
Sophomore
Hannah McCarthy (Toronto, Ontario) shot an 88 in the final round and posted a 36-hole total of 23-over 167, which was good for 36th place. Classmate
Molly McCarthy (Toronto, Ontario) closed with a 93 and came in 43rd overall.
TOURNAMENT NOTES
• All seven teams at the Northeast Invitational are currently ranked among the top 21 in Division III in the Scoreboard rankings.
• Bansal recorded her third top-15 finish of the season, while Yang posted her third top-15 showing of the 2025-26 campaign.
