Vanya Bansal (Noida, India) was selected as the Colonial Women's Golf Conference (CWGC) Golfer of the Week on Wednesday morning.
Bansal shot 74-75 on the way to posting a 36-hole total of 5-over 149 to help the Beavers place eighth against some of the nation's top teams last Saturday and Sunday in the Jack Leaman Invitational at The Orchards Golf Club. She played her final eight holes in round one in 2-under and then made three birdies and five bogeys in round two on the way to recording her lowest score of the spring.
Bansal, who was chosen as the CWGC Golfer of the Week for the third time this season, is currently 79th in the Scoreboard Division III rankings and leads Babson with a 76.79 stroke average. She owns one victory and three top-10 finishes in five stroke play tournaments of at least 36 holes on the year.
The Beavers will conclude their regular season with the Northeast Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at The Ranch Golf Club in Southwick, Mass.
