SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 4-15 all-time against Tufts in a series that dates back to 1979. 
• The Green and White have dropped their last nine games to Tufts and is seeking its first win in the series since 1999.
• The Beavers have lost three in a row to Tufts at MacDowell Field since back-to-back wins in 1997 and 1999.

LAST GAME
• Max Ettinghausen '25 and seniors Jack Regnery and Beau Keough combined to score 14 goals and senior Victor Salcedo and Parker Merril '25 paired up to win 14 of 23 face-offs as No. 1/1 Tufts proved too strong for No. 20/20 Babson, 21-5, on April 15, 2025 at Bello Field in Medford.
Topher Bower M'25 and Tripp Clark M'25, juniors Luke Wang and Camden Matthews and Matt Park '25 scored goals for the Beavers, and junior Seamus Rooney and senior Bennett Smith collected assists. Senior Will Reading won 9-of-20 face-offs and scooped up three ground balls, and Alex Fascilla '25 and sophomore Andrew Almquist combined to make 20 saves in goal in the setback.
• Ettinghausen scored a game-high six goals and Regnery and Keough added four apiece for the Jumbos, while junior Will Emsing chipped in with two goals and an assist. George Panagopoulos '25 caused three turnovers, senior Ben Clarke finished with two caused turnovers and four ground balls, and Conner Garzone M'25 made six of the 10 saves for the three Tufts netminders in the victory.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (12-1, 5-0 NEWMAC), ranked fifth in Division III by the USILA and seventh by USA Lacrosse Magazine, has won four games in a row following a 16-2 conference rout of Emerson last Saturday at MacDowell Field.
• Senior Terry Li (9-for-11) and graduate student Beau Burns (7-for-8) combined to win 16-of-19 face-offs and scooped up five ground balls each and 12 different players scored goals in the win. Graduate student Joey Allen scored three goals and added an assist, Matthews had two goals and an assist, and grad student Patrick McAleavey and senior Braden Reilly (Reading, Mass.) each contributed a goal and two assists.
• The Beavers continue their balanced offense as Smith (20-21-41), Allen (28-12-40), and Reilly (15-21-36) are all within five points of the team lead in scoring, while Matthews (22-8-30), Rooney (19-6-25) and McAleavey (17-3-20) all have at least 17 goals and 20 points. Burns has a 74.3 success rate (156-210) on face-offs and leads the team with 115 ground balls.
• Senior Sam Erjavac (3 CTs, 9 GBs) and juniors Ellis McDonald (8 CTs, 12 GBs) and Ryan St. Onge (7 CTs, 17 GBs) anchor a Beaver defense that leads the NEWMAC conceding 7.8 goals per game. Almquist (8.10 GAA,.619 sv. pct., 164 svs) leads the NEWMAC in GAA and ranks second in save percentage.

SCOUTING THE JUMBOS
• No. 1/1 Tufts (12-0, 8-0 NEWMAC), two-time defending NCAA Division III national champions, extended its perfect season and 40-game winning streak dating back to 2024 with a 19-14 victory over No. 8 Wesleyan on Saturday in Medford.
• Regnery (2g, 6a) tallied a career-high six assists while senior Brooks Hauser (4g, 3a) had a team-high four goals and junior Chase Beyer (3g, 1a) helped the attack unit post 19 points. Emsing (3g, 3a) and sophomore Davis Owens (2g, 1a) were also multi-goal scorers, junior Lucas De la Paz won 11-of-19 face-offs and Victor Salcedo, and first-year Jack Donovan had a team-high three caused turnovers. Sophomore Jack Old finished with nine saves in the victory.
• The Jumbos, who have outscored their opponents 219-110, are led by Regnery (21-25-56), Hauser (40-11-51), Beyer (30-18-48) and Emsing (20-22-42), and senior Garrett Kelly (21-9-30) and junior Jackson Redd (14-10) are also offensive contributors. Salcedo (.611) and De La Paz (.579) both have strong face-off winning percentages.
• Donovan has a team-high 22 caused turnovers and junior Logan Lee (14) and sophomore William Bonner (10) have combined for 24 CTs. Old (7.72 GAA, .630 sv. pct., 119 svs.) has started 11 of 12 games between the pipes and ranks eighth in Division III in save percentage and 11th in goals against average.

MACDOWELL MENACES
• The Beavers bring a 6-1 home record into Tuesday's game with wins in 14 of their last 15 home games dating back to last season.
• The Green and White have won 25 of their last 27 home games going back to the start of the 2024 campaign.
• Babson has outscored its opponents at home this season, 113-50.

RANKED OPPONENTS
• Tuesday's game is the fifth on the Babson schedule this season against teams with national rankings.
• The Beavers are 3-1 so far with a victory over No. 4/5 RIT in February and wins over No. 17/14 Amherst and No. 18/16 Middlebury in March.
• Babson is 5-4 against nationally-ranked foes going back to last spring with all four losses to top-10 teams, and 8-8 against ranked teams since 2024.

BABSON VS. THE NESCAC
• Tuesday marks the fourth contest this season against schools from the NESCAC.
• The Beavers are 2-1 against teams from Division III's top conference, with wins over No. 17/14 Amherst (15-11) and No. 18/16 Middlebury (14-9) and a Loss to No. 2 Bowdoin (12-8).
• The Green and White are 3-5 against NESCAC opponents going back to last year and are 5-7 against the conference dating back to 2024.
• The NESCAC has the top two and six of the top 20 teams in this week's USILA poll.

CLIMBING THE CHARTS
• Almquist registered his 12th win of the season on Saturday, which ranks third on Babson's single-season list for goalie wins, one behind Will Parducci (2023) and Alex Fascilla (2025), who both finished with 13.
• Burns has produced 156 face-off wins this year, which ranks seventh on the Babson single-season face-off wins list, and his 115 ground balls ranks fourth on the single-season chart.
• Tyee Ambrosh has moved in the top 20 in career caused turnovers and currently ranks 17th with 34.
• Rooney has moved up to 14th on the program's career goal scoring list with 85 goals, and is also 16th on the career points list with 130.
• Smith is in third place on the career assist list with 96 assists, and sixth place on the Babson career points list with 166.

BEAVER BITES
• Smith has at least two points in 10 straight and 12 of 13 games this season, and he is the only Beaver who has points in all 13 games.
• Rooney brings a 30-game point streak into the game dating back to the start of last season.
• Allen has at least three points in six of his last seven games and at least one point in 11 of his 12 appearances.
• Matthews has three points in three consecutive games and at least three points in eight of his 12 outings. McAleavey has points in 12 of his 13 games this spring, including a season-high three points vs. Emerson.
Tyee Ambrosh has at least one caused turnover in eight of his last 11 games, including a career -high three forced turnovers vs. Bowdoin.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Green and White are 12-0 this spring and have won 26 in a row since the start of last year when scoring at least 10 goals.
• The Beavers are 10-1 this season and 21-3 going back to last spring when holding a lead at halftime.
• Since the start of the 2024 campaign, Babson is 36-3 when winning at least 50 percent of its face-offs. 
• Going back to 2023, the Beavers are 16-5 in the month of April. 

UP NEXT
• Babson will wrap up the regular season with a pair of New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) road contests, beginning Friday at Clark at 7 p.m.
