SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (11-1, 4-0 NEWMAC), ranked fifth in Division III by the USILA and eighth by USA Lacrosse Magazine, brings a three-game winning streak into the weekend after defeating Coast Guard 16-6 last Saturday at MacDowell Field.

• The Beavers continue their balanced offense as Smith (19-20-39), Allen (25-11-36), and Reilly (14-19-33) are all within six points of the team lead in scoring, while Matthews (20-7-27) and Rooney (19-6-25) and grad student
Patrick McAleavey (16-1-17) all have at least 15 goals. Burns has a 73.8 success rate (149-202) on face-offs and leads the team with 110 ground balls.

Ryan St. Onge (7 CTs, 16 GBs) anchor a Beaver defense that leads the NEWMAC conceding 8.3 goals per game. Almquist (8.45 GAA,.610 sv. pct., 155 svs) is second in the NEWMAC in both GAA and save percentage.
SCOUTING THE LIONS
• Emerson (3-9, 0-4 NEWMAC) has dropped its last three games, including a 17-4 loss to Springfield last Saturday in Boston.
• First-year Jeff McCullogh finished with a goal and an assist and sophomore Brady Fish and first-years Ethan Munsch and Nathan Stanczak produced goals for the Lions. First-year Enzo Choi won 7-of-14 face-offs, junior Landon Segal (5) and first-year Henry Bradley (4) combined for nine ground balls, and senior Ethan Corby (14) and sophomore Jacob Goldberg (5) combined for 19 saves in the Emerson goal.
• Junior Zachary Stern-Hayes (12-8-20) and senior Aedan Kiniry (10-10-20) share the team scoring lead and Fish (12-3-15), Bradley (11-4-15) and Dylan Wong (9-6-15) are tied for third. Choi (76-154) has won 4.94 percent of his face-offs and senior John Marcone (42), classmate Charlie van Beuren (33), and Choi (32) are the top three on the team in ground balls.
• Junior Owen Rosen (17), first-year Tristan Wachtel (13) and Marcone (10) have all reached double digits in caused turnovers. Corby (12.20 GAA, .545 sv. pct., 140 svs.) has started all 11 games between the pipes and ranks fifth in the league in sav percentage.
BEAVERS EARN WEEKLY RECOGNITION
• Weekly honors continue to roll in for the Beavers as Almquist and Burns were named New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Defensive Athlete and Face-Off Specialist of the Week, respectively, on Monday. Almquist received the honor for the second straight week and fourth time this season and Burns was recognized for the fourth consecutive week and fifth time overall.
• Almquist was terrific in a pair of starts making 20 saves and posting a 5.43 goals against average and a .667 save percentage, while Burns won 81.2 percent of his face-offs (26-of-32) and picked up 20 ground balls in a pair of double-digit wins.
• The Beaver duo also claimed a spot on the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Team of the Week. It was the second NEILA honor for each one this spring.
SENIOR DAY
• Babson will recognize 13 seniors and five graduate students on Saturday on Senior Day at MacDowell Field.

• This year's seniors have been the most decorated class in program history with a four-year record of 54-16 along with two NEWMAC regular season titles, three conference tournament championships and three NCAA Tournament appearances.
AGAINST THE NEWMAC
• The only unbeaten team in NEWMAC play this season, Babson is 28-5 in regular season conference games going back to the shortened 2021 season.
• The Beavers are seeking their third regular season crown in the last four seasons and their fourth straight conference tournament title.
MACDOWELL MENACES
• The Beavers bring a 5-1 home record into Saturday's game with wins in 13 of their last 14 home games dating back to last season.
• The Green and White won 24 of their last 26 home games going back to the start of the 2024 campaign.
• Babson has outscored its opponents at home this season, 97-48.
CLIMBING THE CHARTS

Tyee Ambrosh has moved in the top 20 in career caused turnovers and currently ranks 17th with 34.
• Rooney has moved up to 14th on the program's career goal scoring list with 85 goals, and needs two more to catch Niall Dillon '19 for 13th place with 87. Rooney is also 16th on the career points list with 130.
• Smith has moved into third place on the career assist list with 95 assists, and into a tie for sixth place with Mike Welch '01 on the Babson career points list with 166.
BEAVER BITES
• Smith has at least three points in nine straight and 11 of 12 games this season, and he is the only Beavers who has points in all 12 games.
• Rooney brings a 30-game point streak into the weekend.

Tyee Ambrosh has at least one caused turnover in eight of his last 10 games, including a career -high three forced turnovers vs. Bowdoin.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Green and White are 11-0 this spring and have won 25 in a row since the start of last year when scoring at least 10 goals.
• The Beavers are 9-1 this season and 20-3 going back to last spring when holding a lead at halftime.
• Since the start of the 2024 campaign, Babson is 35-3 when winning at least 50 percent of its face-offs.
• Going back to 2023, the Beavers are 15-5 in the month of April.
