AUBURNDALE, Fla.—Graduate student William Jaun (Loveland, Ohio) hit a go-ahead three-run homer in the top of the sixth inning to help No. 3 D3baseball.com/No. 4 ABCA Johns Hopkins University defeat Babson College, 12-3, in non-conference baseball action on Tuesday morning at Lake Myrtle Park.
Babson, which has dropped its last three games, is now 2-6 on the year. Johns Hopkins has won five of its last six outings to improve to 12-3 overall.

Gabe Cushner (Harrington Park, N.J.) had an RBI double and graduate student
Ryan Grace (Concord, Mass.) and junior
Jack Moses (Belle Mead, N.J.) produced RBI singles for the Beavers. Fellow junior
Jason Finkelstein (Walpole, Mass.) pitched into the sixth in his first start of the spring and shouldered the loss after allowing four runs on three hits while striking out five.
Jaun, who also doubled, knocked in five runs and scored three times, while senior Jacob Harris (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.), sophomore Luke Baker (San Ramon, Calif.) and senior Alex Shane (Los Angeles, Calif.) singled, drove in a run and scored twice to lead the Blue Jays. Senior Damian Brown (Natick, Mass.) also knocked in a pair of runs and sophomore Michael Yousef (Dana Point, Calif.) improved to 3-0 on the year by striking out five and allowing just one hit over five shutout innings of relief.
Johns Hopkins starter Kieren Collins (Palmetto, Fla.) escaped a bases-loaded jam in the bottom of the first and retired the side in order in the second before the Green and White took the lead with a three-run third. Sophomore
Dylan Drazka (Rye Brook, N.Y.) reached on an error and scored on Grace's RBI single to right, Cushner smashed a double to right center that brought home Grace and Moses followed with a two-out knock through the left side that plated Cushner to make it 3-1.
Finkelstein allowed just two base runners in the third through fifth innings before running into trouble in the sixth as Harris led off with a base hit, Baker reached on a four-pitch walk and Shane followed with an RBI single to left to make it a one-run game. Babson sophomore
Dillon James (Attleboro, Mass.) replaced Finkelstein and Jaun drilled his first pitch over the fence in right for a three-run homer that put the Blue Jays back in front 5-3.
Yousef retired 12 consecutive batters after giving up a two-out single to sophomore
Ben Valente (Newton, Mass.) in the fifth, and Johns Hopkins blew the game open with a seven-run ninth that included three walks, two hit batsmen and an error.
Both teams are back in action on Wednesday at 10 a.m. as Babson takes on Rutgers-Newark while Johns Hopkins faces Chicago.
GAME NOTES
• The Beavers are 1-3 all-time against Johns Hopkins and Tuesday's game was the first between the teams since meeting twice at the 2019 College World Series.
• Grace extended his hitting streak to eight games, while junior
Ryan Liss (Hollywood, Fla.) failed to reach base for the first time in 38 contests dating back to March 15 of last season.
• Babson is now 5-6 dating back to start of last year against nationally-ranked opponents.
