vs. Wheaton
• Babson is 32-9 all-time against Wheaton in a series that dates back to 1992.
• The Beavers have dominated the series as of late winning 15 straight matchups versus the Lyons since 2013.
• The Green and White have won its last six games in Norton going back to 2014.
vs. Middlebury
• Babson is 2-4 all-time against Middlebury in a series that dates back to 1981.

• Mike McLaughlin '25 led the visitors with three goals and an assist while senior Emmett Edwards scored three times and Charlie Racine '25 added two goals and an assist. Junior Chris Bodnaruk won 12 of 27 face-offs, Connor Almstrom '25 and junior Henry Stamatel scooped up five ground balls each, and Almstrom made 12 saves in goal in the setback.
vs. Middlebury
• Rooney scored three times and dished out two assists and Greene finished with a season-high four goals to help Babson defeat 14th-ranked Middlebury, 14-9, on March 18, 2025 at Tierney Field in Sparks, Md.
• Sisk and Matthews both registered two goals and two assists and Stillwell scored twice to lead a balanced attack for the Beavers.

• Patrick Jamin '25, senior Logan White and junior John McCarthy each scored twice while Billy Curtis '25 added a goal and two assists to lead the Panthers. William Munroe '25 won 19-of-26 face-offs and led all players with 10 ground balls, and senior Hayden Kern stopped four shots in defeat.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (5-0, 0-0 NEWMAC), ranked No. 8 by the USILA and No. 6 by USA Lacrosse Magazine, picked up its second win against a ranked opponent this season with a 15-11 victory over No. 17/14 Amherst on Wednesday evening in western Massachusetts.
• Sisk finished with a season-high four points on three goals and one assist and graduate student
Beau Burns won 23-of-28 face-offs and picked up a career-high 18 ground balls for the Beavers. Juniors
Andrew Berardi and Matthews both scored twice, Smith provided a goal, two assists, three ground balls and two caused turnovers, and Burns and Rooney each added a goal and an assist. Graduate student
Mason Dorr tied for game-high honors with three caused turnovers, junior
Ryan St. Onge scooped up five ground balls and Almquist made 12 saves and collected four ground balls in the win.
• The Beavers boast a balanced offense with Allen (11-5-16), Smith (10-5-15), Reilly (7-8-15) and Matthews (9-3-12) all in double digits in points through five games. Burns has a 72.2 success rate (57-79) on face-offs and leads the team with 40 ground balls, while Smith and Almquist have scooped up 13 ground balls each.

Tyee Ambrosh have a team-high six caused turnovers, and Almquist has posted an 9.60 goals against average and a .568 save percentage with 63 saves in five starts between the pipes this season.
SCOUTING THE LYONS
• Wheaton (6-1, 0-0 NEWMAC) started its season with five straight wins and is coming off a 17-10 victory over Mass. Maritime on Wednesday evening at Nordin Field.
• Senior Charlie Goodrich tallied three goals and one assist, including his 100th career point with Wheaton, and junior Theo Stamatel (3g, 4a) finished with a game-high seven points. Edwards scored five times and added one assist and junior Evan Paturzo (3g, 2a) took home five points, while fellow junior Evan Borchert made 16 saves in 57 minutes in goal.
• Theo Stamatel (18-15-33) leads the team in scoring while Paturzo (20-5-25) tops the Lyons in goals and Goodrich (15-6-21) is third on the team in goals and points. Edwards (11-5-16) is also an offensive threat. Bodnaruk (80-137) has won 58.4 percent of his face-offs and scooped up 28 ground balls while junior Henry Stamatel (26) and senior Karter Noyes (21) also have 20+ GBs.
• Henry Stamatel tops the squad with 15 caused turnovers. Borchert has started all seven games in goal for the Lyons, posting an 8.09 goals against average and a .647 save percentage with 90 saves.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
• No. 18 USILA/No. 16 USA Lacrosse Magazine Middlebury (2-1, 1-1 NESCAC), which will play at Trinity on Saturday, has won its last two games, including a 9-7 conference win over Connecticut College last Saturday.
• Junior James Farinacci and sophomore Nick Marvin scored two goals each and senior Brendan Hickey, junior Will Ford and first-year Gavin Romweber tallied a goal and an assist each for the Panthers, who overcame a 5-1 deficit with seven unanswered goals across the middle two periods. Junior Noah Filippelli won 9-of-15 face-offs and grabbed five ground balls, seniors Drew Dummer and J.D. Farkas caused two turnovers each, and Kern made 15 saves in goal in the victory.
• Romweber (7-3-10) owns the team lead in scoring, followed by Marvin (5-1-6), Ford (4-1-5) and McCarthy (2-3-5). Filippelli has won 64 percent of his face-offs (32-of-50) with 16 grounds balls, while Romweber and first-year Will Leahy have 14 ground balls each. Dummer has caused seven turnovers, and Kern has an 8.67 goals against average and a .567 save percentage with 34 saves.
• The Panthers finished 9-9 overall and 6-4 in NESCAC games last season and lost to No. 12 St. Lawrence, 10-9, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
SUCCESS IN THE NEWMAC
• The Beavers are 18-2 against conference opponents over the last three regular seasons on the way to three consecutive NEWMAC tournament championships.
• The Green and White went 5-2 against conference foes in the regular season last spring after going 6-0 in 2023 and 7-0 in 2024.
RANKED OPPONENTS
• Sunday's game is the third of five games on the Babson schedule this season against teams with national rankings.
• The Beavers are 2-0 so far with a victory over No. 4/5 RIT last month and a win over No. 17/14 Amherst on Wednesday. They will also match up against No. 3/3 Bowdoin on March 24 and No. 1/1 Tufts on April 14.
• Babson is 4-3 against nationally-ranked foes going back to last spring with all three losses to top-10 teams, and 7-7 against ranked teams since 2024.
BURNS EARNS CONFERENCE AND REGIONAL RECOGNITION
• After his impressive performance against WNEU, Burns was named New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Face-Off Specialist of the Week on Monday and was named to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Team of the Week on Tuesday.
• Burns won 16-of-19 face-offs and matched his career high by picking up 10 ground balls. He did much of his work in the first half winning 11-of-12 face-offs, including each of his last eight, while collecting nine ground balls as the Beavers built an 11-3 lead.
MEETING THEIR GOALS
• The Beavers have outscored their opponents 81-48 in the first five games with 12 multi-goal scorers and at least one goal from 23 different players.

• Babson is 2-0 at MacDowell Field this season, outscoring their two opponents 38-15.
• The Green and White are 12-1 at home going back to the beginning of last season and have won 21 of its last 22 home games going back to the start of the 2024 campaign.
• The Beavers outscored their opponents 176-89 in 11 home games last season, and had a 317-159 goal advantage at home the past two years.
BEAVER BITES
• Burns has climbed to 18th in Division III with a 72.2 face-off winning percentage.
