BABSON PARK, Mass.—Seven members of the Babson College men's tennis program were recognized for their hard work in the classroom when the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its 2024-25 All-America Scholar recipients late last week.

Brady Anderson (Rochester, N.Y.) earned ITA All-America Scholar accolades for the fourth consecutive season, classmate
Ole Lepsoe (Oslo, Norway), junior
Martin Mejia (Cali, Colombia) and sophomore
Mattias Harrell (Oslo, Norway) were all honored for the second year in a row, while juniors
Alexander Merson (Palisades Park, N.J.) and
Alexander Weber (Baech, Switzerland), and first-year
Edward Wang (Burr Ridge, Ill.) were all named to the team for the first time in their respective careers. The Beavers' honorees were among 1,115 Division III student-athletes to finished the 2024-25 academic year with a grade-point average of 3.50 or better.
In addition to the individual laurels, head coach
Michael Kopelman's squad was one of 135 Division III program's to earn ITA All-Academic Team distinction. Babson concluded the year with a 3.48 team GPA. All-Academic team honorees must have a GPA of 3.20 or above.
The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Player of the Year, Anderson went 14-12 in singles and 21-7 in doubles, while Lepsoe finished 9-12 in singles and 21-9 in doubles to help lead the Beavers to the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals for the first time in program history. Merson also played a key role in his first season with the Green and White after transferring from Brandeis, finishing 52nd in the ITA Division III singles rankings with a record of 18-5 and going 22-6 in doubles, which includes a 16-2 mark alongside Lepsoe at number one on the way to concluding the year ranked 24th in Division III.
Wang was selected as the NEWMAC Rookie of the Year and set new single-season records for singles (24) and combined (41) victories. Harrell went 13-3 in singles and 7-3 in doubles, Mejia was a perfect 3-0 in both singles and doubles in the spring, and Weber posted a 7-3 mark in singles, which included going 5-0 against NEWMAC foes, in addition to going 7-1 in doubles.
Babson finished the 2024-25 campaign at 22-3 setting a new single-season record for wins and capturing its first NEWMAC Tournament championship since 2021 before beating Stevens and Bowdoin to advance to the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals back in May.
