BABSON PARK, Mass.— Senior Olivia Soffer (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) earned her fourth consecutive Athlete of the Year award and No. 15 Babson College had four players earn All-Conference recognition when the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced its women's tennis postseason award winners on Tuesday afternoon.

Soffer was joined on the All-Conference Singles First Team by junior Matia Cristiani (San Salvador, El Salvador), and the two Beavers were named to the All-Conference Doubles First Team. Additionally, sophomore Chaniel Soffer (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and first-year Alessandra Cristiani (San Salvador, El Salvador) garnered spot on the All-Conference Singles Second Team.

A four-time all-conference first team selection in singles and the 2022 NEWMAC Rookie of the Year, Olivia Soffer has enjoyed another superb season for the Beavers. She is 24-4 on the year, including 14-1 at number one singles and 5-0 against conference competition. Ranked number three in Division III in singles, she is on track to compete in her fourth consecutive NCAA Singles Championship beginning later this month.

Olivia is the program's all-time leader in singles, doubles and combined victories and owns a 96-14 singles record and 91-21 doubles mark for a combined record of 187-35.

A three-time all-conference first team selection in singles and the 2023 NEWMAC Rookie of the Year, Matia Cristiani continued her outstanding performance in the line-up for the Green and White. She has posted a 24-1 singles record, including 16-0 in dual matches, 14-0 at number two and 2-0 at number one, and 5-0 in conference play. Ranked eighth in Division III in singles, she is likely set to compete in her third consecutive NCAA Singles Championship beginning later this month.

Matia has made a significant impact on the Babson record book. She has a career singles record of 74-5 and a doubles mark of 77-8 for a combined ledger of 151-13, and ranks second behind only Olivia in singles, doubles and combined victories.

Ranked fourth in Division III, they are 48-4 all-time as a tandem, including the NCAA Division III doubles championship in 2024.

Chaniel Soffer garnered All-Conference Second Team recognition at number three singles after posting a 17-8 record, including 11-6 in dual matches. She is 3-1 at number two and 8-4 at number three, as well as 4-2 against conference opponents. She upped her career singles record to 26-17.
