Matia Cristiani (San Salvador, El Salvador) defeated seniors Brooke Despriet (Cumming, Ga.) and Ansley Carpenter (Newnan, Ga.) 6-3, 6-2 in the NCAA Doubles quarterfinals on Sunday afternoon at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center.

Soffer and Cristiani used a pair of break points to race out to a 3-0 lead in the second. Neither side held serve over the next four games before Cristiani won her service game up 5-2 to help the Green and White close out the contest.
Soffer and Cristiani will face senior Alisha Chulani (Los Altos, Calif.) and first-year Rebecca Kong (San Diego, Calif.) of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in Monday's semifinals at 4 p.m. ET. The Babson duo defeated Chulani and partner Nikolina Batoshvilli in last year's national championship match.
