Amrit Rehal (Alpharetta, Ga.) tied for second place in the high jump at the MIT Final Qualifier at Sherie and Don (1961) Morrison Track on Thursday evening.
Rehal and Katherine Kempff of MIT both cleared 5-feet, 3-inches (1.60 meters) to come in behind Harper Meek of Tufts, who took first place with a mark of 5-feet, 5-inches.
Rehal broke her own school record with a mark of 5-feet, 5.25-inches last Saturday at Williams and currently is tied for 24th among Division III competitors in the high jump. She is hoping to earn a spot at the NCAA National Championships when the selections for each event are announced on Friday night.
