Brady Anderson (Rochester, N.Y.),
Ole Lepsoe (Oslo, Norway) and
Wesley Zhang (Staten Island, N.Y.) all recorded victories in both singles and doubles to help top-seeded and 13th-ranked Babson College defeat fourth-seeded Clark University, 7-0, in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament semifinal on Friday afternoon at the Babson Tennis Courts.
With its seventh consecutive victory, Babson improves to 19-2 overall and advances to its third straight NEWMAC Tournament final. Clark, which reached the semifinals for the second year in a row, sees its season come to a close at 8-11.

Alexander Merson (Palisades Park, N.J.) downed junior Aris Kirkorian (Sunnyside, N.Y.) and sophomore Edward Shepherd-Johnson (Takoma Park, Md.) 6-3 at number one, while Anderson and first-year
Sebastian Mendoza (Weston, Fla.) combined for a 6-1 victory over the Cougars' duo of graduate student Tanner Honnef (Carmarillo, Calif.)and senior Ryan Hovey (Newburgh, N.Y.) at number two.

Edward Wang (Burr Ridge, Ill.) followed with a 6-2 triumph over junior Graham Russo (Bridgewater, Mass.) and first-year Ziad Tabbara (Manacor, Spain) at number three.
The Beavers made quick work of Clark in singles as Lepsoe beat Shepherd-Johnson 6-1, 6-0 at number one, while Anderson was a 6-2, 6-1 winner over Kirkorian at number two. The final four singles matches all finished within 90 seconds of each other as the hosts completed the sweep.
Merson topped Tabbara 6-1, 6-1 at number three, Wang recorded a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Russo at number four, Zhang bested Hovey 6-3, 6-3 at number five, and sophomore
Mattias Harrell (Oslo, Norway) downed Honnef 6-2, 6-1 at number six.
Babson will host either second-seeded MIT or third-seeded Springfield in the NEWMAC championship match on Sunday at 1 p.m.
MATCH NOTES
• The Beavers have now won 16 consecutive matches against the Cougars and are 8-2 all-time in conference tournament play versus Clark.
• Babson is now 11-1 in its last 12 NEWMAC semifinals matches dating back to 2011.
