BOSTON—Senior
Walter Sadowsky (Morristown, N.J.) and sophomore
Ryan Liss (Hollywood, Fla.) combined to drive in five runs as visiting Babson College defeated UMass Boston, 7-3, in non-conference baseball action on Wednesday afternoon at Monan Park.
With its seventh consecutive win, Babson improves to 21-8 overall. UMass Boston has lost two straight contests to see its record dip to 21-12 on the year.
Liss went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored, Sadowsky was 2-for-3 with three RBI, and junior
Zander Teator (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) finished with two hits, a run batted in and a run scored to lead the Beavers' 12-hit attack. Graduate student
Tanner Santos (Bethany, Conn.) singled and scored twice and sophomore
Tristan Pearl (New Canaan, Conn.) improved to 2-0 with the win in relief of junior
Connor Doan (Pasadena, Texas), who allowed two earned runs while striking out three over 4.1 innings.
Graduate students Bostyn Burris (Highland Village, Texas) and Richard Williams (Georgetown, Mas.) both went 2-for-3 with a run scored for the Beacons, who recorded just seven hits. First-year Jonny Pagano (Attleboro, Mass.) dropped to 3-3 on the year with the loss after giving up three runs on five hits and three walks to go along with four strikeouts in 3.0 innings of work.
UMass Boston got on the board in the bottom of the first as Williams doubled to bring home Burris and then scored on an RBI single by senior Mike Meagher (Marstons Mills, Mass.) one batter later for a 2-0 lead. The Green and White stranded runners in each of the first two frames before going in front for good with a four-run third inning.
Santos drew a lead-off walk and scored on an RBI single by Liss, Teator tied things up with an RBI knock to left and Sadowsky followed with a two-run base hit to center to make it 4-2. The Beacons cut their deficit to one on a two-out error in the bottom of the fourth, but the Beavers answered back in the fifth as graduate student
Brant Savage (Charlton, Mass.) started the inning with a double and raced home on Sadowsky's RBI single through the left side two batters later for a 5-3 advantage.
Pearl, who came on in relief of Doan following Burris' one-out double to right center in the fifth, retired all five batters he faced, and Babson tacked on two more insurance runs over the final four frames. Santos started the sixth with an opposite-field single and later scored on a ground out, while Julian beat out an infield single to start the top of the eighth came home on a grounder to third by Liss extending the margin to 7-3.

Matt Milone (Amston, Conn.) worked around a lead-off walk in the seventh, classmate
Luke McClintock (South Hamilton, Mass.) got a line drive double play to help work out of trouble in the eighth and Teator recorded a strikeout and a walk as part of a scoreless ninth inning.
Babson wraps up its three-game road trip on Thursday against Johnson & Wales at 3:30 p.m., while UMass Boston hosts Eastern Connecticut State for a pair of games on Saturday beginning at 12 p.m.
GAME NOTES
• The Beavers are now 28-13 all-time against UMass Boston and have won five straight games in the series.
• Liss has now reached base in 23 straight contests, Teator has at least one hit, one RBI and one run scored in six consecutive outings, and Savage extended his hitting streak to five games on Wednesday.
• In four starts against Little East Conference foes over the last two seasons, Doan is 2-0 with a 2.28 ERA with 13 strikeouts against just two walks in 23.2 innings pitched.
• Babson is now 18-2 on the year when scoring at least six runs.
