NEW LONDON, Conn.— First-years
Noa Wong (Kaneohe, Hawaii) and
Patrick Allardi (Andover, Mass.) captured individual victories to lead the Babson College men's track & field team's performances on day two of the Silfen Track & Field Invitational at Connecticut College on Saturday.
Wong captured the 400 meters in a time of 51.64 seconds, leading Babson to a 1-2 finish as classmate
Dominic Smith (Aspen, Colo.) finished runner-up in 51.75 seconds. The Beaver duo also had strong finishes in the 200 meters with Smith taking sixth in a time of 22.81 seconds and Wong placing eighth with a season-best time of 22.87 seconds.
Allardi crossed the finish line in first place in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 15.28 seconds. He was one of three Beavers to finish in the top 10 as sophomore
Gabe Rosenberg (Silver Spring, Md.) placed seventh in a time of 16.37 and first-year
Evan Dang (Fremont, Calif.) took 10th in a time of 16.57.
Dang, Wong, Allardi and Smith teamed up to finish runner-up for Babson in the 4x100 meter relay in a time of 43.99 seconds.
First-year
Brian Ronayne (Reading, Mass.) and sophomore
Ethan Jina (Carlisle, Mass.) had impressive performances in the 800 meters, as Ronayne finished second in a season-best time of 2:02.32 and Jina placed seventh in 2:07.55. Sophomore
Jack Gramer (Tyngsborough, Mass.) registered a career-best time in the 5000 meters with a clocking of 17:46.57.
First-year
Jackson Adams (Norwell, Mass.) led a group of three Beavers who competed in the 400-meter hurdles. Adams finished in third place with a time of 58.71 seconds while sophomore
Stratton Seymour (Merrimac, Mass.) was 10th in 1:00.74 and Dang was 14th in 1:02.37.
First-year
Nick Elward (Ipswich, Mass.) represented the Beavers in throwing events and placed 18th in the shot put with a top mark of 37-feet, 4-inches.
The Beavers return to competition next weekend at the annual Sean Collier Invitational at MIT, beginning Friday with the Distance Night and continuing on Saturday.
