LEWISBURG, Pa.—Babson College graduate student
Anthony Rodriguez '24 M'25 (Prairie View, Ill.) came in 12th in the 5000-meter run at Bucknell University's Bison Outdoor Classic inside Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium on Saturday night.
Rodriguez, who was in the third heat competing against the top runners in the field, posted a time of 14:27.16 that was third among Division III competitors. He was in 27th place overall after 1400 meters before climbing all the way up to 10th at the 3400-meter mark.
The school-record holder in the 5000 meters, Rodriguez's time on Saturday night ranks second in program history. It also is good for second among Division III competitors this spring in New England and is among the top 20 times nationally.
Rodriguez and his Babson teammates will return to competition next Friday and Saturday at MIT's Sean Collier Invitational.
