SERIES HISTORY

•    Babson is 25-7 against Coast Guard dating back to 2001.
•    The Beavers have won 17 of their last 18 matches versus the Bears with the only loss over the last 13 years coming back in 2022 in New London, Conn.
•    The Green and White has won its last four matches against Coast Guard over the last two seasons, three of which have been played in Babson Park.

LAST MEETING

•    Watson and Jonah Wilson M'24 were 8-6 winners at number two doubles and Watson, Kerem Ozlale at number two and Jose Gonzalez '24 at number six all posted straight-set triumphs in singles for Babson.
•    The Bears earned their lone point of the match at number one doubles where Myles Decoste and Charles Norman beat the Beavers' duo of senior Ole Lepsoe and Logan Back

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    No. 13 Babson (11-2, 2-0 NEWMAC) has not played since having its six-match winning streak snapped in a 4-3 loss to then-32nd-ranked Chapman on March 21 in Orange, Calif.
•    Senior Wesley Zhang, junior Alexander Merson and first-year Edward Wang all recorded victories in singles, and senior Brady Anderson and first-year Sebastian Mendoza won 6-3 at number two doubles for the Beavers, whose only other loss this spring came to No. 3 Tufts back on March 2.
•    Wang is 18-2 overall and 9-2 in dual matches with five wins at number three singles, Mendoza (12-7) is 9-3 in dual matches and Merson has his last six outings to improve to 10-5 overall.
•    Lepsoe and Merson are 5-2 at number one doubles, Anderson and Mendoza have gone 5-2 at number two and the pairing of Zhang and Wang is 4-3 at number three with victories in four of its last five matches.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
•    Coast Guard (1-7, 1-1 NEWMAC) is coming off a 4-3 loss to Emerson on Saturday afternoon.
•    Ben Bonetto, who also won in straight sets at number one singles, paired with Brendan Love for a 6-4 victory at number one doubles, while Anthony Gregoire and Konnor Eslinger were straight-set winners at number three and four singles, respectively, for the Bears, who lost to a NEWMAC foe other than Babson or MIT for just the third time since 2014.
•    Bonetto is 7-1 at number one singles, Eslinger has recorded four victories at number four and both Gregoire at number three and Benjamin Carlander at number five have picked up two wins apiece.
•    Bonetto and Love are 4-4 at number one doubles but Coast Guard has recorded just one victory apiece at second and third doubles.

MOVIN' ON UP
•    Thanks to winning six of seven matches during its trip to southern California, the Beavers moved jumped from 18th to 13th in the most recent ITA Division III poll released back on March 26.
•    No. 13 is the highest ranking in school history for Babson, which ascended as high as 16th in the first two polls of 2024.

RISING UP THE RECORD BOOKS
•    Wang's 18 singles wins are one shy of the program's single-season record set by David Weisman '98, who finished a perfect 19-0 back in 1998 on the way to capturing the program's only NCAA Division III singles title.
•    Coupled with his 10 doubles victories, Wang also is just two shy of Jon Martin's '05 single-season record of 30 combined wins set back in 2003-04.
•    Additionally, Merson (12) and Anderson (12) are just four wins away from matching the Beavers' single-season record of 16 held by Martin (2003-04), Mike Brooks '05 (2003-04), Brandon Rosenbluth '18 (2016-17) and Parker Law '23 (2022-23).

•    Wang was 4-0 with a win at number two singles and three at number three, while Anderson and Mendoza were 4-1 at number two doubles.
