Box Score 2 CLAREMONT, Calif.— The 18th-ranked Babson College men's tennis team won 17 out of 18 matches, including all 12 singles encounters and five of six in doubles, to register a pair of victories on the team's spring break trip to California Monday afternoon.
The Beavers started the day with a 7-0 victory over No. 32 Salisbury University at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps' Biszantz Family Tennis Center, and closed the day with a 7-0 win over Glendale Community College at the Claremont Club.
The Beavers, who upset sixth-ranked Middlebury on Sunday, posted their second and third victories over the past two days on their southern California trip, improving to 8-1 on the season. Salisbury suffered its first loss of the year and dropped to 6-1 and Glendale is now 10-3.

Sabastian Mendoza (Weston, Fla.) for a 6-3 victory at number two doubles before rallying for a 2-6, 6-1, 6-3 triumph over sophomore Asher Willenborg (Fork, Md.) at number one singles. Senior
Ole Lepsoe (Oslo, Norway) paired up with junior
Alexander Merson (Palisades Park, N.J.) for a 6-2 win in the top doubles flight before posting a 7-6, 6-3 verdict over senior Jhayden Pappas (Dover, Del.) in number two singles and Merson breezed to a 6-2, 6-2 victory at number four.

Wesley Zhang (Staten Island, N.Y.) and first-year
Edward Wang (Burr Ridge, Ill.) completed the doubles sweep with a 7-5 triumph at number three. Wang outlasted sophomore Gurv Suri (New Windsor, N.Y.) at number three singles in a third-set tiebreaker, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6, and Zhang used a second-set tiebreaker to defeat first-year Nick O'Dea (Bellevue Hill, Australia) at number five. Louis Bourn (Geneva, Switzerland) rounded out the sweep with a 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 win at number six singles.

Three Beavers registered victories in both singles and doubles on the way to sweeping Glendale CC for their second win of the day. Mendoza teamed with Merson for a 6-4 victory at number one doubles before Mendoza captured a 7-6 (7-1), 6-2 triumph in the top singles flight. Bourn and junior
Martin Mejia (Cali, Colombia) were 6-2 winners at number two doubles before Bourn took a 6-2, 6-3 verdict at second singles and Mejia won the match at fourth singles, 6-2, 6-0.
The Green and White captured the remaining three singles matches in straight sets. Sophomore
Mattias Harrell (Oslo, Norway) used a second set tiebreaker to win at number three, 6-1, 7-6 (7-1); junior
Alexander Weber (Baech, Switzerland) pulled out a tight win at number five, 7-5, 6-4; and first-year
Mason Nguyen (El Dorado Hills, Calif.) breezed to a 6-1, 6-1 victory at number six. Babson's only loss on the day came at third doubles, where Harrell and Nguyen were defeated, 6-3.
The Beavers will be back on the courts with a pair of matches on Tuesday, facing No. 33 Grinnell at 2:45 p.m. (ET) at the Claremont Club and taking on Whitman at 8:15 p.m. (ET) at Pomona-Pitzer's Pauley Tennis Complex in Claremont.
