AUBURNDALE, Fla.—No. 19 D3baseball.com/No. 30 ABCA Babson College bounced back from its first loss of the season on Friday by defeating No. 20 ABCA Rhodes College 8-4 in its opening game of the day and followed it up by rallying for a 4-3 victory over Coe College on Saturday afternoon at the RussMatt Invitational.
With the wins, Babson improves to 5-1 on the year. Rhodes is now 12-9, while Coe dips to 3-2 with the loss to the Beavers.

Senior
Justin Guest (West Windsor, N.J.) went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI, junior
Ryan Hvozdovic () was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored, and graduate student
Thomas Parisi (Somers, N.Y.) drove in a pair of runs for the Beavers. Fellow graduate student
Tanner Santos (Bethany, Conn.) walked twice and scored twice and first-year
Chase Burrows () allowed a pair of runs, both of them unearned, in 4.1 innings of relief to pick up his first career win.
C Kinder (Houston, Texas) was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored and Collin Kimball-McCavish (Richmond, Va.) doubled and knocked in a pair of runs for the Lynx. Zac Sohosky (Bentonville, Ark.) struck out six but allowed four earned runs over 3.0 innings to drop to 3-2 on the year with the loss.
The Green and White took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first as Santos came around on Guest's base hit following a leadoff walk and Savage singled and scored on a ground out. Rhodes loaded the bases with a pair of singles and a walk and tied the game on a sacrifice fly by Kinder and a bases-loaded free pass to Ben Daniel (Nashville, Tenn.) in the top of the third before Guest answered with a two-run shot in the bottom of the inning to put Babson in front for good.
Parisi got plunked with the bases loaded and Santos followed with a sacrifice fly to bring home graduate student
Jack Julian (Manchester, Mass.) to make it 6-2 in the fourth, and Parisi and Savage both brought home another run in the sixth as the lead swelled to 8-2. Senior
Matt Milone (Amston, Conn.) fanned the only two batters he faced after coming on in relief of Burrows in the eighth and junior
Zander Teator (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) struck out the side in the ninth.

Walter Sadowsky (Morristown, N.J.) went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI and sophomore
Ryan Liss (Hollywood, Fla) singled twice and scored a run for the Green and White. Junior
Connor Doan (Pasadena, Texas) tossed 2.2 innings of shutout relief to collect his first win of the year, while senior
Luke McClintock (South Hamilton, Mass.) recorded a pair of strikeouts in the ninth to earn his first save.
Ryan Brosius (Dubuque, Iowa) went 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Kohawks, who were limited to just five hits in the loss. Xavier Cloudy (Boerne, Texas) shouldered the loss after giving up two runs in 1.2 innings in relief of Jack Walsh (Dubuque, Iowa), who settled for a no-decision after giving up one run on four hits to go along with nine strikeouts over 6.0 innings.
Coe took a 1-0 lead in the last of the third when Eli Elsbecker (Fort Dodge, Iowa) drew a leadoff walk and scored on a two-out wild pitch. The Beavers tied things up in the fourth though as Guest stroke a one-out double to left before scoring on Hvozdovic's one-out single.
Ryan Brosius put the Kohawks in front against with a two-out RBI single to right in the fifth and Jake Brosius (Dubuque, Iowa) walked with one out in the sixth and scored all the way from first one batter later when Tyce Johnson's (Indianola, Iowa) single to right field was misplayed to make it 3-1. Parisi brought home Sadowsky with an RBI ground out to cut the deficit in half in the top of the eighth and Babson completed the rally with two more runs in the ninth.
Hvozdovic reached on an error and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by sophomore
Dante D'Avanzo (Ashland, Mass.), Liss reached on an infield single and both runners came home on Sadowsky's one-out double to left center that gave the Beavers a 4-3 advantage. McClintock walked the leadoff man in the bottom of the frame but recorded a pair of strikeouts around a ground out to secure the victory.
Babson returns to action on Sunday when it takes on No. 17/23 Rowan at 11 a.m. in Winter Haven, Fla.
