WHAT TO KNOW
• Babson sophomore David Krol (Grafton, Wisc.) will compete in the NCAA Division III Northeast/North Diving Regional on Friday and Saturday in Springfield, Mass.
• Krol qualified for the regionals for the second year in a row, the first Babson male diver to compete in NCAA post-season diving since Aaron Paradis '10 in 2010.

SCHEDULE
• Friday, February 28 – Men's 3-Meter (11 Dives, Voluntary 1st), 2 p.m.
• Saturday, March 1 - Men's 1-Meter (11 Dives, Voluntary 1st), 12 p.m.

2024 NCAA REGIONALS
• Krol made his first NCAA Regionals appearance at last year's meet at Colby College in Waterville, Maine.
• The Babson rookie placed 14th in the 3-meter event with a score of 395.40 and 11th in the 1-meter event with a score of 410.75.

RECORD BREAKER
• Krol broke the 6-dive program record on both boards this year in the final dual meet of the season against Bridgewater State on February 8.
• The sophomore scored 342.30 on the 1-meter board to break his own program mark of 321.35 set last season, and he tallied 348.60 points on 3-meter to surpass the mark of 332.45 by Paradis in 2008.

QUALIFYING STANDARDS
• Divers must score at least 280 points on the same board in a dual meet twice during the season to qualify for the regionals.
• Krol scored higher than 280 points six times on the 1-meter board and five times on the 3-meter board.

SIZING UP THE COMPETITION
• Krol is one of 15 divers who qualified for the regionals, with all competing on both boards.
• The field includes two each from WPI, Merchant Marine Academy, Williams, Tufts, and NYU, and one from Connecticut College, Springfield, Colby, Babson, and MIT.
• Returning divers from last year's meet include Cameron Bizjak (Conn. College), Elias Brandt (Tufts), Christian Butler (Springfield), Thomas Cable (Merchant Marine), Brendan Griffiths (Merchant Marine), William Hopkins (NYU), Ivan Knoepflmacher (Colby), David Krol (Babson), Haochen Liu (Williams), Mitchell Mortenson (NYU), and Cameron Yuen (Tufts).
• Cable is the returning champion on both boards, while Liu was third on both boards and Griffiths was fourth on three-meter and fifth on one-meter.
