BABSON PARK, Mass.—Graduate student Jordan Richard (Lawrence, Mass.) scored a game-high 23 points and visiting Clark University shot 75 percent (15-of-20) from three-point range on the way to defeating Babson College, 91-70, in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) men's basketball action on Saturday afternoon inside Staake Gymnasium.
Babson slips to 12-8 overall and 6-5 in conference play with its second consecutive loss. Clark has won five straight games to improve to 13-7 overall and 9-2 in the NEWMAC.

Nate Amado (Hanson, Mass.) scored 21 points on 9-of-13 shooting to go along with seven rebounds to lead three players in double figures for the Beavers. Graduate student
Felix Kloman (Ipswich, Mass.) had 15 points and three steals, while classmate
Alex Stoddard (Wellesley, Mass.) added 10 points in the loss.
Richard went 7-of-9 from three-point range, senior Bruce Saintilus (Plainville, Mass.) contributed 17 points and five assists, and classmate Isaiah Taylor (Methuen, Mass.) finished with 16 points, five assists and five steals to lead the Cougars. Fellow senior Kekoa McArdle (Pittsfield, Mass.) also scored 10 points in the win.
The Green and White forced eight turnovers, got seven points from Amado and made four of its first five three-point attempts to take its largest lead of the game at 21-12 midway through the opening half. Clark outscored the Beavers 24-12 over the next eight-plus minutes and went back in front 36-33 for the first time since the opening minute of the contest on a triple by Santilus with 1:53 to go before halftime.
Down three at the break, Babson got a free throw from Stoddard and eight consecutive points by Amado to take a 44-43 edge at the 16:12 mark before Clark pulled away with a 30-8 run over the next nine-plus minutes. Sophomore Quentin Pridgen (Fitchburg, Mass.) followed back-to-back three-pointers by Richard with his first of the game to make it 56-47, Taylor knocked down three free throws and first-year Bouluwasefe John (Corona, N.Y.) added a thunderous two-hand slam as the lead swelled to 62-47 with 9:56 to play.
Richard canned his fifth three-pointer of the afternoon extending the margin to 67-50 and then followed up two free throws by Saintilus with another trifecta to push the Cougars' margin to 73-52 with 6:51 remaining. Taylor gave Clark its largest lead of the game at 82-59 with 4:32 to go.
The Beavers shot 46.4 percent but committed 16 turnovers and were outrebounded 32-23. Clark shot 54.2 percent from the field and went 9-of-10 from beyond the arc while scoring 53 points in the second half.
Both teams return to action on Wednesday as Babson hosts MIT at 7 p.m., while Clark takes on Coast Guard at 5 p.m.
GAME NOTES
• Babson is now 42-42 all-time against Clark and was swept in the regular season series for the first time since 2013.
• The Cougars' 21-point victory was their largest against the Beavers since 1998.
• Prior to Saturday, the Green and White had won its last seven games against NEWMAC foes inside Staake Gymnasium.
• Babson's 16 turnovers are its most since committing 20 in a win over Case Western Reserve back on December 29.
