Thomas Ferdinando (Andover, Mass.) paced four players in double figures with 19 points and Babson College shot 55.2 percent to cruise to a 98-54 win over visiting Wentworth Institute of Technology in non-conference men's basketball on Tuesday night inside Staake Gymnasium.
Babson, which bounced back from its first loss of the season last Friday, improves to 5-1 on the year. Wentworth is now 0-7 and has dropped 11 straight contests going back to last year.

Logan Murphy (Sandwich, Mass.) scored career-high 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting and junior
Jake Peterson (Hanover, Mass.) knocked down four three-pointers on the way to scoring a career-best 12 points for the Beavers. Sophomore
Ryan Frauenheim (Manasquan, N.J.) contributed 11 points and game highs of eight assists and five steals as 16 different players scored in the victory.
First-year Colin Mannke (Stoneham, Mass.) scored 12 points and junior Jayden Williams (Dorchester, Mass.) finished with 11 points to lead the Leopards, who were held to just 31.7 percent shooting in the loss.
The Green and White got eight points from Murphy, two three-pointers apiece from Ferdinando and Peterson, and four points each from senior
Timmy O'Toole (Milton, Mass.) and Frauenheim to open a 30-6 advantage less than 11 minutes into the contest. Murphy and Peterson followed up a jumper by Ferdinando to cap an 8-0 run that extended the margin to 44-12 at the 3:44 mark, and Frauenheim hit a mid-range jumper just before the buzzer to give the Beavers a 51-21 lead at the break.

Tyler Lauder (Malvern, Pa.) combined to score the first 11 Babson points of the second half and Ferdinando drilled another triple to push the hosts' edge to 65-24 with 16:08 remaining. Wentworth scored six consecutive points only to see the Beavers answer with a 19-4 run to take their largest lead of the night at 84-34 on a bucket by Ferdinando with 7:38 to go.
The Green and White outscored the Leopards 42-18 in the paint and scored 26 second-chance points on 16 offensive rebounds. The Beavers also scored 26 points off of 18 Wentworth turnovers.
Babson is back in action on Sunday when it hosts Saint Joseph (Conn.) at 1 p.m., while Wentworth takes on Suffolk next Tuesday at 7 p.m.
GAME NOTES
• Tuesday's matchup was the first between the teams since 1999 and the Beavers are now 16-3 all-time against Wentworth in a series that dates back to the 1954-55 campaign.
• Babson's 14 three-pointers matched a season high and its 98 points are the most since January 11, 2025, in a 103-68 victory over MIT.
• The Green and White has scored at least 80 points in four of its five wins this season and dished out a season-high 26 assists on 37 made shots in Tuesday's victory.
• The Beavers' bench provided a season-high 48 points in the win.
