Up one late in the first quarter, the Green and White used a 9-2 run that included five straight points by Canty to push its advantage to 20-12 with 25 seconds left in the stanza. Three-pointers by Flynn and Perreault stretched the margin to 28-15 just over two minutes into the second period, but Velez scored nine points in the frame and turned a late steal in to two points to help Albertus Magnus cut its deficit to 37-29 at the break.

The Beavers scored on its first three possessions of the second half to make it 43-29, and Flynn canned back-to-back three-pointers and followed up a jumper by Perreault with bucket in the paint to cap a 16-5 run that extended the lead to 53-34 with 5:24 to go in the third. Babson scored the final four points of the frame and got consecutive hoops by Perreault and senior Allessia Carlo (Carmel, N.Y.) to grab its largest advantage of the night at 64-39 with 9:22 remaining in the fourth quarter.
