WHAT TO KNOW
• The Babson men's and women's swimming & diving teams open the 2025-26 season with a dual meet against Roger Williams on Saturday morning in Bristol, R.I.
SERIES HISTORY
• The Babson men are 2-3 all-time against Roger Williams in a series that dates back to 2018.
• The Beaver women are also 2-3 all-time against the Hawks since 2018.
LAST MEETING
• The Babson women won 10 of the 14 events on the way to capturing a 150-112 victory over Roger Williams, while the Beaver men won just three events and finished runner-up in seven races in a 150-112 loss to the Hawks on October 21, 2023, inside the RWU Aquatic Center.
• April Kupsky '24 led the Beaver women with three individual victories (200 fly, 200 breast, 200 IM) while Audrey Daniels '25 (100 free) and Emily Tran '25 (100 back) and junior
Sylvie Racicot (50 free) all captured one individual event and swam on both winning relay teams. Vera Belfonti '24 (100 fly) and Kendall Garvey '25 (1000 free) were also individual winners for the Beavers.

Pat Anutarasoti '25 (100 breast) and
Matthew D'Elia '25 (200 fly) captured individual events for the Beavers, and the team of Nathan Ford '25, Joshua Kim '25, senior
Zackary Cheung and Anutarasoti won the final event, the 400-yard free relay, by just 21 one-hundredths of a second.
A LOOK BACK ON 2024-25
• The Babson men finished with a 7-3 record in dual meets last winter and placed fourth in the team standings at the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships with 704 points, the program's third-highest total since 2002.
• The Beaver men set 12 program records, including individual marks by Anutarasoti (50 and 100 breast, 50 and 100 fly), juniors
Anthony Taslakov (200 free, 200 IM, 200 back) and
David Krol (1-M and 3-M diving 6-dives), and Elia (200 fly), as well as the 800 free and 200 medley relays.
• The Babson women went 8-5 in dual meets recording their most wins and highest winning percentage (.615) since 2019-20 before coming in seventh at the NEWMAC Championships.
• The Beaver women established six program records, including individual marks by Kendall Garvey '25 (1650 free) and sophomores
Julia Netishen (50 free) and
Tuana Turhan (100 fly), as well as the 200 and 400 free and 400 medley relays.
ABOUT THE BABSON MEN
• The Beavers return 19 competitors from last year's team and welcome a half dozen newcomers to this year's squad.
• Taslokov finished runner-up at the NEWMAC Championships in both the 200 free and 200 back as well as taking fourth in the 200 IM and also earned an NCAA B cut in the 200 back.
• In addition to his two 6-dive program records, Krol earned a pair of podium finishes by placing runner-up in the 3-meter and third in the 1-meter at the NEWMAC Championships. He also placed eighth (3-M) and ninth (1-M) at the NCAA Diving Regionals.
• Sophomore
Tommy Hannenian has program top-5 times in the 100 free (5th) and 200 free (5th); classmate
Thomas Ambelang appears in the 100 back (4th) and 200 back (5th); sophomore
Nathan Huynh is in the top 5 in the 100 breast (3rd) and 200 breast (5th); sophomore
Williams Iglar appears in the 100 breast (4th) and 200 breast (2nd); sophomore
Liam Maloney is in the top 5 in the 100 fly (4th), 200 fly (5th), and classmate
Nehemiah Rhee is a top 5 performer in the 200 fly (4th) and 400 IM (5th).
• The quarter of Taslakov,
William Iglar,
Liam Maloney, and Hannenian earned a podium spot at the conference meet with a third-place finish in the 800 relay 'A' final. Ambelang and Huynh joined Anutarasoti and
Aidan Downey-Lamprey '25 to finish third in the 200 medley relay.
ABOUT THE BABSON WOMEN
• The Beavers bring back 11 veterans and welcome a group of eight newcomers to this year's squad.
• In addition to her program record in the 100 fly, Turhan is also highly ranked on the program's all-time top performers list in the 200 fly (2nd), 200 breast (3rd), 100 IM (8th), and 200 IM (2nd).
• In addition to her record in the 50 free, Netishen is also on the all-time top list in the 100 free (7th), 100 back (2nd), and 200 back (9th). Sophomore
Samantha Gilbert is ranked in the 200 free (3rd), 500 free (9th), 100 breast (6th), 200 breast (7th), 100 fly (6th), and 200 IM (4th).
• Sophomore
Marta Gershanok is ranked in program history in the 200 back (4th), 200 IM (6th), and 400 IM (2nd); junior
Nicolette Newsome is ranked in the 500 free (5th), 1000 free (8th), and 1650 free (4th); and Racicot is ranked in the 50 free (9th) and 100 free (8th).
• The quartet of Anya Pelshaw M'25, Racicot, Netishen and Turhan set a new school record in the 400 medley relay; Pelshaw, Audrey Daniels '25, Racicot, and Netishen set the program in the 200 free relay; and Pelshaw, Netishen, Racicot and Gilbert established a new mark in the 400 free relay.
