SERIES HISTORY
• Babson and Bridgewater State will meet Saturday for the 10th time since 2014-15.
• The Beaver women have defeated the Bears in six in a row and 11 of the last 14 meets, while the Babson men have dominated the all-time series with 23 straight dual meet victories.
LAST YEAR'S MEET
• The Babson women won 14 of 16 events to down the Bears, 212-82, on Senior Day on January 27, 2024, inside Morse Pool.

April Kupsky '24 won three events (200 fly, 200 back, 400 IM) and seniors
Kendall Garvey (1000 free, 200 breast) and
Audrey Daniels (100 breast, 100 free) and junior
Emma Chenski ( 200 free, 500 free) recorded two wins apiece for the Beavers.
• Also touching the wall first for the Green and White in individual events were

Emily Tran in the 100 back, and sophomore
Sylvie Racicot in the 50 free.
• The Beaver men won all 16 events to defeat the Bears, 237-54.

Pat Anutarasoti (100 breast, 200 breast) and
Matthew D'Elia (100 fly, 200 fly), Spencer Ernst (500, 1000 free) and sophomores
Anthony Taslakov (200 free, 200 back) and
David Krol (1-M, 3-M diving) led the Beavers with multiple victories each. Krol broke a program record with a score 321.35 points on the low board.
SCOUTING THE BABSON WOMEN
• The Beavers (6-4) are looking to bounce back from a 176-107 loss to Wheaton last Saturday inside Morse Pool.
• First-years
Samantha Gilbert (200 IM) and
Tuana Turhan (200 breast) captured individual victories for the Green and White. Turhan also teamed with Daniels, Tran and first-year
Julia Netishen to help the Beavers win the 200-yard medley relay.
• Daniels finished runner-up in the 100 breast, Tran took second in the 100 back, and Garvey added a second-place result in the 1000 free. First-year
Annie Dong also took second in the 1-meter diving.
SCOUTING THE BABSON MEN
• The Beavers (6-2) have won three straight dual meets after defeating rival Wheaton 169-109 last Saturday inside Morse Pool.
• The Green and White captured 10 of the 16 events in the win. Anutarasoti (100 breast, 100 fly), Taslakov (100 back, 200 back) and Krol 1-M, 3-M Diving) led the Beavers with a pair of individual victories. First-years
Liam Maloney (200 fly) and
William Iglar (200 breast) also posted a victory and the Beavers captured both relays in the win.
• D'Elia turned in a pair of runner-up finishes (100 fly, 200 fly) and graduate student
Cole Seeger took second in both the 200-free and 500-free.
ABOUT THE BEARS
• The Bridgewater State women (5-6) have dropped three dual meets in a row following Wednesday's 168.5-73.5 setback to Bentley.
• Bridgewater was led by junior Cailey Simard, who swept the diving events with scores of 313.75 on 1-meter and 302.70 on 3-meter. Senior Jenna Fiebiger touched the wall first in the 50 free against the Division II Falcons, and classmate Olivia Pelletier placed second in the 200 free.
• Senior Brianna Matte came in third in the 1,000 free, and sophomore Ava Anderson recorded third-place finished in both diving events.
• The Bridgewater State men (2-5) have dropped three of four meets this month after taking a 173-50 defeat to Bentley.
• The Bears were led by junior Desmond Ngand first-year Matthew Jo, who both won a race against the DII Falcons. Ng topped the field in the 100 breast and finished second in 200 free while Jo outdistanced the field in the 1,000-free and finished second in the 500 free.
THE BABSON WOMEN VS. THE NEWMAC
• The Beavers have several swimmers who are ranked among the top 20 in performances this season by New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) athletes, led by Turhan and Netishen.
• Turhan ranks eighth in the 200 breast (2:26.30) and 100 IM (1:03.84), 10th in the 200 fly (2:08.75) and 13th in the 100 fly (58.35), while Netishen is eighth in the 50 back (27.39) and 100 back (58.45) and 10th in the 50 free (25.15).
• Gilbert is ranked 15th in the 100 breast (1:00.00), 17th in the 200 breast (2:31.65), and 19th in the 200 IM (2:11.84). Daniels is listed 13th in the 50 breast (31.97) and 16th in the 100 breast (1:09.10), and first-year
Marta Gershanok is 11th in the 100 IM (1:05.20) and 18th in the 400 IM (4:46.98).
THE BABSON MEN VS. THE NEWMAC
• The Beavers are well represented in the men's list of top 20 NEWMAC performances this season, led by Anutarasoti, who is in the top seven in six events.
• Anutarasoti is ranked third in the 50 fly (22.61), 100 breast (55.68) and 100 IM (53.06), fourth in the 50 breast (25.84), and seventh in the 50 free (21.13) and 100 fly (49.29), as well as 15th in the 50 back (24.74).
• Taslakov, Iglar and first-year
Dom Crisafulli are ranked in four events each, as Taslakov is seventh in the 200 back (1:53.98), ninth in the 400 IM (4:13.24), and 12th in the 100 back (52.71) and 500 free (4:47.48); Iglar is 11th in the 200 breast (2:09.93) and 100 IM (55.67), 12th in the 100 free (10:20.02) and 19th in the 100 breast (59.12); and Crisafulli is 16th in the 50 back (24.80) and 200 IM (1:57.06) and 19th in the 100 back (53.21) and 100 IM (58.52).
• Ambelang and Huynh are ranked in three events each, as Ambelang is ninth in the 100 back (52.18), 10th in the 50 back (24.56) and 11th in the 200 back (1:55.69) while Huynh is ninth in the 50 breast (26.83), 11th in the 100 breast (57.45) and 12th in the 200 breast (2:10.56).
• Krol is second in the 1-meter (278.90) and 3-meter diving (263.10), first-year
Nehemiah Rhee is also seventh in the 100 IM (54.31) and 11th in the 200 fly (1:53.67), and D'Elia is 10th in the 200 fly (1:53.63) and 19th in the 100 fly (51.91).
UP NEXT
• The Beavers return to the pool at Wellesley on Saturday, February 1, with the women taking on the Blue and the men competing in an exhibition meet. Both teams wrap up the regular season against Springfield on Senior Day at Morse Pool on February 8.
