BABSON PARK, Mass.—Sophomore
Hailey Fouche (Montclair, N.J.) finished with 15 kills and Babson College hit a blistering .331 on the way to recording three-set victories over Husson University and Bard College on Friday night inside Staake Gymnasium.
The Beavers downed Husson 25-8, 25-12, 25-10 before cruising past Bard 25-9, 25-9, 25-8.
Babson opens the season at 2-0 while both Husson and Bard start 0-1.

Fouche led all players with eight kills, senior
Lauren Griffin (Los Altos Hills, Calif.) added five kills and sophomore
Zoe Ackerman (Aurora, Colo.) contributed 21 assists and seven digs to lead the Beavers. Senior
Lauren Gips (Winter Park, Fla.) chipped in with four kills and four blocks, while junior
Sophia Shaw (Novato, Calif.) led all players with nine digs in the win.
The Green and White recorded eight of its 13 service aces in the opening set and used two apiece from Gips, Shaw and Griffin before closing out the frame with seven consecutive points for a 1-0 lead. The Eagles got within 9-8 thanks to a three-point run early in game two before three aces by Ackerman and a pair of kills by Griffin as part of an 8-0 run helped Babson pull away.
The Beavers hit .379 in the third set and got kills from six different players to help closeout the match.
Babson 3, Bard 0
Fouche and Griffin finished with seven kills apiece and combined to hit .571 to lead the Green and White to an easy win. Junior
Isabella Allen (Williamsville, N.Y.) added five kills, first-year
Sofia Ibarra (Coral Gables, Fla.) recorded four kills and two blocks, Ackerman dished out 24 assists and Shaw led all players with 10 digs.
The Beavers played an error-free first set recording 13 kills on 26 swings and jumped out to a quick 8-1 lead in game two. Allen and Fouche both provided three kills and Ackerman produced a kill, a block and two aces as part of a 14-2 run that helped the hosts build a two-set advantage.
Babson made quick work of the Raptors in game three scoring five straight points on the serve of senior
Tatum Stelter (Glendale, Ariz.) and forging an 11-1 edge that dipped below double-digits just twice in the frame.
The Beavers return to action on Saturday when they host Maine-Presque Isle at 11 a.m. and Colby-Sawyer at 4 p.m.
