BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College hit .341 and recorded 37 service aces while cruising to a pair of three-set victories over the University of Maine-Presque Isle and Colby-Sawyer College inside Staake Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
The Beavers downed Maine-Presque Isle 25-9, 25-15, 25-9 in their opening match of the day before dispatching Colby-Sawyer 25-7, 25-12, 25-9 to end the day.
Babson improves to 4-0 on the year, while Maine-Presque Isle and Colby-Sawyer drop to 0-2 and 1-2, respectively.

Junior
Isabella Allen (Williamsville, N.Y.) led all players with seven kills, senior
Lauren Griffin (Los Altos Hills, Calif.) finished with four kills and a career-high seven service aces, and sophomore
Zoe Ackerman (Aurora, Colo.) dished out 28 assists and served up six aces to lead the Beavers. Senior
Lauren Gips (Winter Park, Fla.) and sophomore
Hailey Fouche (Montclair, N.J.) contributed four kills apiece, while junior
Sophia Shaw (Novato, Calif.) led all players with 10 digs.
Griffin followed back-to-back kills by Fouche with three straight aces as part of an early 9-2 run and Stelter added two more aces on the heels of kills by Gips and Allen to help stake Babson to an 18-5 first-set advantage that it would not relinquish. The Green and White led 14-11 in game two before using a five-point run that included a pair of kills by Allen to pull away for a two-set edge.
The Beavers recorded 12 kills and hit .370 in the third to close out the match.
Babson 3, Colby-Sawyer 0
Griffin hit .583 and led all players with seven kills, sophomore
Natalie Molendyk (Danville, Calif.) added four kills and Ackerman finished with 22 assists, five digs and two aces to lead the Babson attack. First-year
Sabina Frosk (Coppell, Texas) led all players with four aces, classmate
Angelina Holm (Denver, Colo.) finished with four blocks, Shaw recorded a match-high nine digs and the Beavers got three or more kills from six different players in the win.
The Green and White scored 11 straight points on the serve of Frosk to build a commanding 16-4 lead in game one and hit .467 while taking advantage of 10 attack errors by the Chargers for an easy game-two win. Babson never trailed in the third set, racing out to an 11-3 lead and then using a 12-4 spurt after Colby-Sawyer had closed within five to put the match away.
The Beavers return to action next Friday when they host Franklin & Marshall at 6 p.m.
