BABSON PARK, Mass.—The Babson College men's lacrosse program had a record 14 players recognized for their success on the field and in the classroom when the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced its Division III All-Academic honorees last week.

Max Iannone (Westport, Conn.),
Sammy Kalishman (Clarksville, Md.),
Connor Karsh (Glenview, Ill.),
Dillon Quinn (Spring Lake, N.J.),
Grey Sunderland (Bellevue, Wash.) and
Jacob Tauss (San Marcos, Calif.) were among 178 Division III student-athletes from 39 institutions to receive NEILA All-Academic laurels. In addition to being a program record, the Beavers' 14 selections were the most of any school in New England.
To be considered, nominees must have senior or graduate student standing, a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale, and be an impact player for their team.
One of Babson's five All-America selections, Rainville set single-season records for goals (78) and points (103 while leading the country's fourth-ranked man-up offense with eight tallies. Tauss scored a career-high 33 goals to go along with eight assists for a career-best 41 points, Karsh put career highs of 19 goals and six assists for 25 points, and Brofft added 13 goals and four assists for 17 points in 15 outings.
Turco, who also garnered an All-America honorable mention from the USILA, and Sunderland made up one of the top duos in the country and won better than 60 percent of their face-offs on the year. Turco won 180-of-287 face-offs (.627) and led the team with 111 ground balls, while Sunderland finished at 59.4 percent (142-of-239) and scooped up 92 ground balls in 19 contests.
Bazzano, Carney and Kalishman led a strong group of Beavers' short-stick defensive midfielders, combining for more than 80 ground balls and 25 caused turnovers. Kalishman led the trio with 33 ground balls and 14 forced turnovers, Bazzano finished with 31 ground balls and six caused turnovers, and Carney, who earned All-America honorable mention accolades, finished with career highs of eight goals and six assists for 14 points to go along with 21 ground balls and seven forced turnovers.
Hanley appeared in seven games and made six starts posting a 4-0 record to go along with an 8.83 save percentage and a .493 save percentage.
Dillon Quinn led all long poles with 62 ground balls to go along with 21 turnovers, while
Chip Quinn totaled 53 ground balls and 20 forced turnovers in his first season at Babson. Additionally, Iannone contributed career highs of 13 ground balls and eight caused turnovers.
Ike, who put up 43 goals and 18 assists for 61 points as a senior at Trinity in 2023, returned from an injury to see action in a pair of postseason games for the Green and White.
Babson (16-4) set a new school record for wins, captured its second consecutive NEWMAC regular season and tournament championships, and once again reached the third round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to No. 2/3 RIT, 23-16.
