WESTWOOD, Mass.—After claiming three conference championships, one regular season title and top-four finishes across eight sports, Babson College finished atop the 2024 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Presidents Cup standings for the second year in a row it was announced on Monday.
The Presidents Cup is an all-sports award presented to the top overall men's and women's programs in the conference and is determined using a weighted points system based on the order of finish during both the regular season and championship play.
"Earning the NEWMAC Presidents Cup Award for the second consecutive year speaks volumes to the caliber and quality of Babson's athletics programs," said

"Our student-athletes, coaches, and training staff serve as ambassadors for our community and continue to show the world the degree of character and competitor that Babson has forged. After capturing its first NEWMAC Presidents Cup in 2023, the Beavers repeated thanks to finishing with a department-record 10.02 points. WPI came in second at 9.59 points, MIT placed third at 9.17 points, while the Coast Guard Academy (8.24) and Wheaton College (8.18) rounded out the top five.
Men's lacrosse, which set a new school record with 16 wins, went unbeaten in league play for the second year in a row while claiming its second consecutive NEWMAC regular season and tournament crowns. Baseball captured its first conference tournament championship since 2018 after finishing third in the regular season standings, and basketball won three games in five days to repeat as NEWMAC Tournament champions back in February.
Soccer earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament after going unbeaten in conference play and falling in penalty kicks in the NEWMAC final, while men's tennis was the runner-up in the regular season standings before advancing to the tournament final for the ninth time in 10 tries dating back to 2013. Additionally, track & field achieved its best finish (3rd) and highest point total (151) in program history, cross country recorded a third consecutive third-place finish, and swimming & diving placed fourth with its highest point total in more than two decades back in February.

Lacrosse, which advanced to the third round for the second year in a row, baseball, basketball and soccer all participated in the NCAA Tournament, while track & field had two individuals earn All-America honors at the NCAA Division III meet.
