With its fourth consecutive victory, Babson improves to 15-3 overall and earns the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Tournament while Springfield winds up its season at 7-10.

Senior Topher Bower (Chicago, Ill.), and sophomore Bennett Smith (Lake Oswego, Ore.) collected a pair of assists, senior Brendan Maher (Melrose, Mass.) finished with two caused turnovers and five ground balls, and grad student James Turco (Woodbury, N.Y.) won 8-of-15 face-offs and senior Grey Sunderland (Bellevue, Wash.) won 8-of-16 in the win.

The Beavers burst out of the dam with four goals in the first eight minutes of the game, one each by senior Ford Carney (Garden City, N.Y.), Rainville, Rauss and Mondello. Nocito answered with back-to-back goals for the visitors before senior Max Iannone (Westport, Conn.) fired one in with six seconds to go in the frame to give the hosts a 5-2 lead after one.

The Pride tallied two of the first three goals of the second quarter to pull to within 6-4 but Babson notched four consecutive goals to close out the half, including a goal and an assist from Mallett, to take a 10-4 lead the break.

Each team scored three times in the first 10 minutes of the third quarter as the visitors hung within striking distance, trailing 13-7 with less than five minutes to go in the quarter, but Babson pulled away with goals by Mallett and Tauss to end the third and Rainville, Wang and senior Christian Brofft (Pottstown, Pa.) to start the fourth, opening up an 18-7 margin.
