Camden Matthews (Westford, Mass.) both scored twice in the fourth quarter as No. 10/11 Babson College rallied to defeat 19th-ranked Denison University, 12-10, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday afternoon inside Tiger Stadium.
With its fifth consecutive win, Babson improves to 16-3 overall and advances to the third round of the NCAA tournament for the second year in a row. Denison, which had won seven consecutive second round games, sees its season come to a close at 14-6.

Luke Wang (Simsbury, Conn.) scored twice to lead the Beavers. Turco (10-for-12) and Sunderland (10-for-13) both scooped up eight ground balls, senior
Dillon Quinn (Spring Lake, N.J.) recorded a team-high three caused turnovers and junior
Alex Fascilla (Huntington, N.Y.) made 14 saves in the win.
Junior Tommy Quinson (Rye Brook, N.Y.) led all players with four goals and an assist for five points, senior Nick Vance (Annapolis, Md.) had three goals and one helper and classmate Luke Fisher (Alexandria, Va.) contributed two goals and one assist to lead the Big Red. Senior Brooks Crowley (Hunting Valley, Pa.) led all players with four caused turnovers to go along with eight ground balls, while sophomore Andrew Albert (Weston, Conn.) stopped 19 shots in defeat.
Trailing 8-6 late in in the third quarter, Babson erupted for five straight goals to seize command of the game. Tauss scored at 5:14 of the third to cut the deficit to one and tied the game just over two minutes into the fourth before Matthews put the Beavers in front for good at the 11:48 mark. Smith collected a loose ball and beat Albert from close range just over minute later and Matthews tallied again, picking up his own rebound an hitting the open net for an 11-8 advantage with 8:29 remaining.
Smith matched Babson's largest lead with his second goal of the game with 4:06 to go and Fascilla made three saves over the final 2:23 to seal the victory.
Down 1-0 nearly four minutes into the contest, Rainville scored twice in the span of 34 seconds to give the Green and White the lead. He buried a feed from senior
Topher Bower (Chicago, Ill.) for his team-leading eighth man-up goal at 11:20 and tallied again at the 10:46 mark after picking up a ground ball to become just the second player in program history to reach 100 points in a season.
Denison answered back with a three-goal run, which included a pair of tallies by Fisher, to go up 4-2 just 61 seconds into the second quarter. Rainville completed his hat trick three minutes later and Wang tied the game with 6:57 left in the stanza before Vance put the Big Red back in front with just under five minutes to go before halftime.
Tauss and Wang scored less than a minute apart to but Babson back in front 6-5 less than five minutes into the third period before Denison answered with a three-goal run, two of which were scored by Quinson, in less than three minutes to match its largest lead of the game with 6:04 to go in the third.
The Beavers finished with the edge in shots (51-40), ground balls (52-36) and face-offs won (20-6), while both teams converted one extra-man opportunity.
Babson will now face No. 2/3 RIT in the third round for the second year in a row on Saturday at 3 p.m.

• Friday's matchup was the first in program history for the Beavers against Denison.
• Babson is now 3-3 against nationally-ranked foes and 2-2 in games decided by two goals or fewer this spring.
• The Green and White is now 15-1 this season when winning at least 50 percent of its face-offs.
