Connor Doan (Pasadena, Texas) tossed seven shutout innings, while classmate
Ryan Hvozdovic (Hillsborough, N.J.) and first-year
Alexander Wilson (Millburn, N.J) both drove in three runs to help Babson College defeat visiting UMass Dartmouth, 10-3, in non-conference baseball action on Monday afternoon at Govoni Field.
With its seventh consecutive win, Babson improves to 10-6. UMass Dartmouth, which had its three-game winning streak snapped, dips to 8-11 overall.
Hvozdovic went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored, Wilson was 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored and junior

Doan retired the first eight batters he faced and the Green and White gave him the lead with a pair of runs in the bottom of the third. Wilson doubled to shallow right to bring home Hvozdovic and D'Avanzo followed with a sacrifice fly to deep center for a 2-0 advantage.
Graduate student
Luke Tanner (Los Angeles, Calif.) started the fourth with a single and stole second before scoring on Guest's single through the left side. Guest scored when Julian reached on an error with one out to make it 4-0, Wilson drove in two more runs and ended up on third aided by a throwing error on his infield single before scoring on D'Avanzo's RBI ground out to stretch the Beavers' lead to 7-0.
Babson continued its onslaught in the fifth with a two-out rally. Guest was plunked, Sadowsky followed with a single through the right side and Hvozdovic drove them both in with a double to right field to extend the margin to 9-0. Hvozdovic also knocked in the Beavers' final run of the game in the seventh with a one-out single to right that brought Guest home from second to make it 10-0.
UMass Dartmouth, which finished the day with 11 hits, broke up Babson's shutout bid with a three-run ninth inning. Vezina led off with a double and scored, SanAntonio plated graduate student Joe Muzio (Rockport, Mass.) with an RBI single and senior Matt Klett (Barnstable, Mass.) drove in classmate Tre Coleman (Pawtucket, R.I.) with a two-out base hit to left.
