NORTON, Mass.— Junior
Max Mallett (Alexandria, Va.) recorded career highs with four goals and six points and No. 17 USILA/No. 16 USA Lacrosse Babson College rattled off 13 consecutive goals in the first half and finished with a 20-6 victory over Wheaton College in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) men's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon at Diane Nordin '80 Athletic Field.
With their seventh win in a row, the Beavers improve to 8-2 overall and 3-0 in NEWMAC play while Wheaton had a three-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 6-4 overall and 2-1 in the conference.

James Turco (Woodbury, N.Y.) won 7-of-10 and they combined for 11 ground balls as the Green and White dominated possession at the center X.

Dillon Quinn (Spring Lake, N.J.) grabbed four to lead the defense. Junior goalkeeper
Alex Fascilla (Huntington, N.Y.) registered his eighth straight double-digit save performance with 11 stops in the victory.
Senior Cole Reid (Laconia, N.H.) scored three goals for the Lyons and junior Jack Board (Westborough, Mass.), sophomore Karter Noyes (Manchester Center, Vt.) and first-year Theo Stamatel (Plainville, Mass.) notched one each. Senior Jacob Wharton (Worcester, Mass.) caused three turnovers and picked up three ground balls, junior Charlie Racine (Oradell, N.J.) grabbed four ground balls, and juniors Connor Almstrom (Cumberland, R.I.) and John Drew (North Andover, Mass.) each made seven saves in 30 minutes of action between the pipes in the loss.

Seamus Rooney (Bay Shore, N.Y.) and Karsh went back-to-back to tie the score and Mallett fired in two straight in 72 seconds to put the Beavers ahead for good. Bower set up Smith and Karsh for goals and first-years
Rowan Mondello (Wakefield, Mass.) and
Cooper Chapman (Hingham, Mass.) scored once each as the Green and White took an 8-2 lead by the end of the first quarter.

Bruno Batty (Jamaica Plain, Mass.) ripped his first career goal, Mallett scored his third of the day, and Rainville, Mallett and senior
Ford Carney (Garden City, N.Y.) put in three in an 85-second span. Reid stopped the Babson burst with his second of the day for Wheaton, but Rainville and sophomore
Jack Feeks (Georgetown, Mass.) closed out the half with goals to give the Beavers a 15-3 margin at the break.

Matt Park (Waltham, Mass.) tallied hist first of the season. Stamatel and Noyes scored for Wheaton to close the third quarter and open the fourth quarter scoring, but Babson answered with three straight goals by junior

Babson dominated with a 52-29 advantage in shots, 40-26 margin in ground balls, and winners of 24 of the 29 face-offs.
The Beavers return home to host UMass Boston in a non-conference affair on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at MacDowell Field. Wheaton plays again next Saturday at home against Salve Regina at 4 p.m.

• Babson has won 13 in a row against Wheaton and leads the Lyons 30-9 in the all-time series that dates back to 1992.
• The Green and White have won nine straight NEWMAC regular season games going back to last season and are 15-3 against conference foes in since the start of the 2021 campaign.
