BABSON PARK, Mass.— No. 17 USILA/No. 16 USA Lacrosse Babson College got a career-high 21 saves from junior goalkeeper
Alex Fascilla (Huntington, N.Y.) and used a 10-goal run that spanned parts of three quarters to knock off No. 9/9 Bowdoin College, 13-6, in non-conference men's lacrosse action on Tuesday night at MacDowell Field.
Babson, which extended its winning streak to six with its first win over the Polar Bears since 1981, improves to 7-2 on the year. Bowdoin, playing its fourth straight road game, slips to 5-2 on the year with the loss.

Seamus Rooney (Bay Shore, N.Y.) chipped in with two goals in the win. Seniors
Dillon Quinn (Spring Lake, N.J.) and
Brendan Maher (Melrose, Mass.) each caused two turnovers and anchored a defense that held Bowdoin to 11 goals below its season average.

James Turco (Woodbury, N.Y.) won 8-of-12 face-offs and senior
Grey Sunderland (Bellevue, Wash.) won 5-of-10 for the Green and White. Fascilla made 12 saves in a span when Babson kept Bowdoin scoreless for 40 consecutive minutes.
Senior Will Byrne (Darien, Conn.) tallied four goals and an assist for the Polar Bears, all four goals coming in the final 16 minutes of the game in a comeback attempt. Senior Zack Goorno (Concord, Mass.) chipped in with a goal and an assist, junior Jason Lach (Washington, D.C.) scored once, and junior Robert Hobbs (Wayne, Pa.) made 11 saves in goal in the setback.
Bowdoin opened the scoring on Lach's man-up tally just over four minutes into the first quarter but the Green and White rattled off 10 consecutive goals to seize control of the game. Rainville tied it up at the 3:32 mark of the opening stanza, senior

Max Mallett (Alexandria, Va.) notched his first marker of the year with 15 seconds to go in the period to make it 3-1.

Michael Bazzano (Hartford, Conn.) scored in transition following a caused turnover by Maher at 9:38 of the second and Rainville and Tauss tacked on goals over the final five minutes of the quarter as the Beavers extended their advantage to 6-1 at the half. Smith finished off a feed from Tauss just 1:07 into the third and Tauss and Rooney scored just 47 seconds apart as the Babson lead swelled to 9-1 with 7:05 to go in the stanza, and Rooney added another with 2:49 on the clock to make 10-1.
Byrne snapped the Polar Bears' drought of over 40 minutes without a goal with his tally with 18 seconds to go in the third only to see Feeks beat the buzzer with an alley oop pass from Bazzano to make it 11-2 going to the fourth. Bower matched the Beavers' largest lead of the game at 12-2 with 11:35 remaining and then stopped a four-goal run by Bowdoin by with his open-net tally at the 2:50 mark of the fourth.
Both teams return to action on Saturday at 1 p.m. as Babson travels to Wheaton, while Bowdoin heads to Hamilton.
GAME NOTES
• Babson won for just the third time in 25 games in the all-time series against Bowdoin that dates back to 1978, although the losses in the last two games have been by just one goal.
• The Beavers are now 2-2 this season against nationally-ranked opponents.
• The Green and White have won eight straight games at MacDowell Field and are 11-2 at home going back to the start of last year.
• The 21 saves for Fascilla are the most for a Babson goalie since
