STAG-HEN INVITATIONAL
• Claremont-Mudd-Scripps will host the Stag-Hen Invitational, featuring eight nationally-ranked teams.
• No. 27 Babson will take on No. 12 Gustavus Adolphus in the opening round on Friday.
• The rest of the first-round matches include No. 7 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps vs. No. 33 George Fox, No. 4 Case Western Reserve vs. No. 17 Southwestern (Texas), and No. 6 Bowdoin vs. No. 26 Pomona-Pitzer.
• The second round of matched will be Friday afternoon and the final round is slated for Saturday at 1 p.m. ET. The teams will be placed 1-8 by the end of the tournament.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 27 Babson (3-2) heads to California after dropping three straight matches to nationally ranked teams, most recently a 9-0 loss at No. 4 Bowdoin on March 2 and a 7-2 verdict at No. 3 Tufts on March 3.
• The Beavers picked up points against Tufts from junior

Jonah Wilson (11-4), No. 24 in the ITA Division III rankings, leads the team in singles wins, including 4-1 in dual matches, followed by senior
Jose Gonzalez (8-8) and Ozlale (7-5).

Martin Mejia and first-year
Logan Back went 4-4 in doubles in tournament play and Wilson and Mejia are 2-0 at No. 1 doubles in dual match play.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
• No. 28 Redlands (3-2) will take on Boston University on Tuesday in the first of eight straight home matches for hosting Babson on Wednesday.
• The Bulldogs defeated No. 29 Mary Washington (7-2) on March 8 before falling to No. 7 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (6-3) on March 9. Redlands took two of the three doubles matches, as first-year Nico Calixto and junior Yoav Nir won in a tiebreaker at number three and sophomores Dominic Anderson and Jack Fanshawe took an 8-6 verdict at number two. First-year Gustavo Marcanth, ranked No. 34 in Division III, pulled out the only singles win at number four.
• Marcanth is 4-1 in singles while Calixto in 3-1 for the Bulldogs at first singles, while Calixto and Nir are 3-1 in doubles.
SCOUTING THE GUSTIES
• No. 12 Gustavus Adolphus (7-4) is back in action after a 5-4 loss to No. 22 Wisconsin-Whitewater on March 8.
• The Gusties took two of the three doubles encounters, with sophomores Gage Gohl and Tyler Haddorff winning at number two, 8-0, and juniors Marco Siviero and Josh Christensen pulling out an 8-7 (9-7) victory at number one. Gustavus earned singles win from Jack Bergmeyer at No. 6 and Gohl in a tiebreaker No. 4.
• Gohl (13-6) is ranked No. 15 in Division III in singles while Siviero (8-7) is ranked No. 29, junior Rafael De Camargo Costa (8-6) is No. 30, Bergmeier (9-3) is No. 43 and senior Caleb Fridinger (8-2) is No. 47. Siviero and Christensen (14-6) are ranked fourth in Division III in doubles and Gohl and Haddorff (15-4) are No. 7.
ANDERSON, LEPSOE SWEEP NEWMAC WEEKLY AWARDS
• Anderson was selected as the league's singles player of the week and teamed with Lepsoe to earn the conference's first doubles team of the week award of the spring on February 26.
• Anderson posted wins over Augustin Suarez of Bryant and Leon Zeis of Nichols, while the duo split their first two matches, which includes a 6-4 triumph over Marcus Macaulay and Diego Serra Sparrow of Bryant.
RISING IN THE POLLS
• After making its way up to 18th in last season's final ITA Division III poll, Babson began the spring portion of its schedule with its highest ranking in program history at No. 16.
• Under the direction of Kopelman, who is now in his sixth season as head coach, the Beavers earned their first national ranking in the spring of 2020 prior to the pandemic and have appeared in the final national poll of the season in four consecutive seasons.
CONFERENCE COMPETITION LOOMING
• After facing what will be seven consecutive matches against nationally ranked programs, the Beavers will begin NEWMAC competition on March 23 against Clark.
• The Green and White will have another tough stretch ahead, visiting No. 24 MIT for a conference match on April 10 followed by non-conference encounters against No. 32 Brandeis on April 13 and No. 29 Mary Washington on April 14.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Going back to the start of last season, the Green and White has led after doubles in 19 of 27 matches.
• Babson is 5-5 against nationally ranked opponents going back to the start of last season.
• The Beavers are 3-1 this season when recording victories at number one singles and number one doubles.
