BABSON PARK, Mass.—Senior
Emily Flynn (Hanover, Mass.) scored 10 of her team-high 13 points in the fourth quarter to help Babson College edge visiting Connecticut College, 57-53, in non-conference women's basketball action on Monday afternoon inside Staake Gymnasium.
Babson has won two in a row and four of its last five games to improve to 6-4 on the year, while Connecticut College dips to 7-4 overall with the loss.
Flynn posted her third double-double of the season with 10 rebounds and dished out a game-high four assists for the Beavers. Junior
Chloe Perreault (Danbury, Conn.) scored a season-high 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting, senior
Camilla Silk (Medfield, Mass.) finished with nine points and a game-high 11 boards, and classmate
Katelyn Mollica (Foxborough, Mass.) also chipped in with nine points in the victory.
First-year Sydney Marshall (Enfield, Conn.) had 13 points, six rebounds and five blocked shots, sophomore Addi Hunter (Saint George, Vt.) scored 12 points to go along with three assists, and senior Catie Donadio (Clinton, Conn.) added 10 points, six boards and two steals to pace the Camels.

Samantha Reale (North Attleboro, Mass.) made it 13-5 with a transition bucket less than four minutes into the contest and Silk converted back-to-back hoops inside to give the Green and White a 19-11 lead with 2:47 to go in the first. Junior Catherine Cole (Lebanon, N.H.) trimmed the Connecticut College deficit to four just under three minutes into the second quarter before Perreault and graduate student
Toni Thompson (Newbury Park, Calif.) combined for the Beavers' final eight points of the stanza to extend the margin back to 30-22 at halftime.
Babson took its largest lead of the game at 33-22 two possessions into the third period before the Camels embarked on a 14-2 run to go in front for the first time at 36-35 on a layup by Hunter at the 3:17 mark. Mollica answered with a three-pointer for the Green and White but Cole knocked down her second triple and followed it up with layup in transition to put the visitors ahead 41-39 with 35 seconds to go in the frame.
Junior
Allessia Carlo (Carmel, N.Y.) tied the game at 43-all with 7:42 to go in the fourth before Flynn converted a three-point play to put the Beavers in front for good. She followed two free throws by Hunter with another bucket and drained a three-pointer with 2:08 remaining to extend the lead to 53-48. Connecticut College pulled within two twice over the final 46 seconds but Flynn and Perreault both went 2-of-2 at the charity stripe to seal the win.
The Green and White, which shot just 34.4 percent from the floor, grabbed a season-high 21 offensive rebounds and finished with a 45-32 edge on the glass. The Camels shot 34.5 percent from the floor and outscored the Beavers 30-20 in the paint.
Babson returns to action on Thursday when it opens the Judy Pearson '85 Memorial Tournament against Maine Maritime at 5 p.m., while Connecticut College hosts Mount Saint Vincent on Friday at 1 p.m.
